DCF in Nepal

Hey Guys,

I got married on Feb 2007 and got my citizenship on July 28, 2008. My wife is in Nepal and we have lived apart since our marraige. It is so tough to do so... I have filed for I 130 from USA. I just heard about DCF? Can I still apply for that? Anyone from Nepal with experience with DCF?

Any help is appreciated.

DCF is for when both petitioner and beneficiary live in the host country- Nepal in your case- so it doesn't apply to you because you are in the USA.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

In addition, the petitioner has to be residing in Nepal for more than 6 months.

Immigration Process (DCF Japan)

08/06/2008 I-130 petition at Tokyo, Japan

08/13/2008 I-130 approved

| Waited until we were ready to move back

07/13/2009 IV interview at Tokyo, Japan

07/15/2009 IV(IR-1) in hand

Post-DCF

07/29/2009 POE at Las Vegas

08/17/2009 GC(10yrs) received

- naturalization in May 2012 or

- GC replacement in February 2019
