What are the rules regarding travelling before we get our conditional green card? We just have the I-551 stamp in my wife's passport with "I-485 apprv." handwritten under it.

Can she go to Chile?

How long until she must come back to the U.S.?

WILL THEY LET HER BACK INTO THE U.S. AFTER GOING TO CHILE?

Would there be any issue since she had overstayed her Visa before (are any of the problems related to the Advanced Parole in effect for the I-551 stamp?)

You have the GC stamped in her PP. Why hasn't she received the card in the mail and why did they stamp it in?

Regardless she can travel on the "temporary GC" in her PP.

Depending on the expiration date on the I-551 she can stay up to 6 months without a reentry permit.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

We just had the interview yesterday. Card Production Ordered. So she can travel?

I thought it was 180 days.

Congrats! She should get the GC in the mail within a couple weeks . Better to have GC in hand but the one they put in her PP will work also.

180 days for what?

Ha Ha, sorry! I meant can she be out of the U.S. for 180 days before she must come back? I'm sure she'll be there for less time than that, but it's good to know the legal boundaries!!

Thank you,

Yes.... as long as you are not out of the country beyond the expiry date on the AP.

You mean after interview, no stamp on your PP and you travelled abroad only with AP?

I am just afraid I can not get stamp on my PP at interview, and then I have to go on business trip right after interview.
