:clock: Called DOS - last update shows as the fingerprints being taken on 4/13 - no clearances reflected in the computer - it's been 146 days (21 weeks) since his interview, and exactly 7 weeks since the full set of fingerprints were taken... ... I just wish we knew how long it would take - the uncertainty is really draining...

<<<< Hugg>>>>>>

Omid I know its draining for sure. its been 58 days since we had this ONE security check.

over 9 months since AR/AP. so I feel your pain.

lets talk alittle about the finger print process. have you called the FBI and asked about your husbands

finger prints? if not I can give you the number to inquire. I can tell you how it works.

well more than likely your husband gave an electronic sample of his prints. we dont need to discuss if

he gave ink sample. the FBI clears the prints in 24 hours. once they get them. NVC gets a cable saying we need to have the alient prints taken. its like they see the request and forwards to the FBI they dont even document the request because they fire it off to the FBI wit ha quickness. in a weeks time the prints clear.

but. I suggest you call the FBI and see if its all clear. once clear then you can move on to bigger and better things like the Security checks :(

oh #######. are you sure they were ink???????????????

the embassy dont do ink anymore.

double check with your husband if they were ink the process is handled diffrently.

I will explain that if thats true. the ink ones are 1001 time longer and difficult. thats why the embassy

dont use ink.

well ink prints are time consuming. here is what happens. the prints are sent to another area in the FBI.

the prints are created in a digital format. this can take anywhere from 2weeks or alot longer.

once transposed to digital format the prints are then sent to another area to be placed in the system to be matched up and ran.

But what if we wanna work just cause it makes us feel good? I am in the social service field because I want

How about volunteer work. Ladies can involve in Islamic centers women committees and utilize their productive hours serving the community and the nation.

Maybe I will volunteer...in an agency that works with narrow minded men like you in order to change the way you view us women. And what's the diff between paid and unpaid work? So you wouldn't want your wife to work for money but she can work for free? What's the deal with that?

Excuse me mind your language. I respect every single woman. I follow my religion ‘OK’ in my last statement I wrote it would be great if ‘Our Muslim ladies’ [excluding NOT FAITHFUL WOMEN] involve in volunteer work. Muslims communities across the globe need volunteers.
