Dear Mary, I am so happy for you. Congratulations! I hop everyone is off this stupid AP soon! I have given up on calling the DOS and the embassy now as I get a stupid response every single time. The embassy just says that admin processing is going on and that they dont need to tell me whats going on and 6 months on AP is nothing, they have people waiting for 3 years on AP.

On the other hand, I have been given so many different answers by the DOS that I feel like banging my head to the phone. The so called Visa specialists, everyone of them have given me different answers. Hell, one visa specialist gave me two different answers to me and my wife in the same day!

I have been told anything from security clearance is still pending to more information has been requested! For now I have decided not to call the DOS and stress myself out..

Though I have written to my senator along with my wife's medical info and asked them request the embassy to expedite the processing (as I read in the Foriegn Affairs Manual of the DOS that the AP can be expedited rarely on medical and humanitarian grounds). I have also written to the Deputy consul General at the embassy requesting them the same thing and attached my wife's medical records.

In the meanwhile my lawyer has also filed an inquiry with the embassy, With all of this, I just hope I dont piss of the embassy! lol! Oh well! I have a feeling of satisfaction on my part that I have done everything I can. The rest is in God and the embassy hands.

I pray for everyone on here to be with there loved ones soon, and everyone please pray for me too!

Ali sure hope you can get some answers on your AP. As you know we both have talked about how hard this processing is and it does not make any sense. Sometimes you are told conflicting information. Take care and remain strong in your faith since that is what kept me going. I will continue to remember you in my prayers and wishing you and your wife reunited soon.

Cindi wow nice to see you and thanks for the congratulations. Hope you and Max are doing well and that his AOS is going smoothly. Take care of yourselves.

Everyone wish you all best of luck.

We still in the process to get police clearance certificate from Karachi and Lahore.

Wife medical was piece of cake it was more formality rather a real exams however it took her six hours to get it done.

Inshallah I am expecting to send all requested documents to embassy by Friday.

Good luck at POE --hope that everything goes smoothly. I know how wonderful it is to be able to finally start your life together after such a long wait. Now comes the fun part of getting to know each other again and explaining all things American to him! Good luck and best wishes to you both.

Mary,

I know it will be very interesting reunion. Because you are from Venus & he is from Mars lol  . During my college days (back in Mid 90’) lots of my country men (Pakistani) married to American girls. I think it is always interesting when folks from various ethnicity and culture tie the wedding knot. You guys have to learn a lot from each other.

And truth of the matter is “learning is life”

Wish you a very best in your upcoming life … :P:star:
