Embassy has sent 3.5 package to my wife on May 1st but she didn't get it yet. Do you know long it will take? My wife is in Lahore.

Imran I cannot say the exact date it went to Ishteaq but they had his address incorrect. If she does not get it by tomorrow or Monday I would call TSC and see if they have the packet or even on the weekend if they work. We just picked it up at the courrier when he showed his ID to them. Good luck.

Just talked to my father in law and as per him TCS contract with US embassy has expired Which means TCS does not in business with embassy no more.

Did anyone receive any package from Islamabad recently? Which courier company they uses now?

Sorry PSoft, don't have any info about the courier company... but if she doesn't get the packet in a couple of days I would just call the embassy... when they sent the last packet out to my fiance, they had sent it out to the wrong address... I found out only b/c I called the embassy a month and a half after NVC sent the file there wondering what was going on - that's when they told me they had sent it out a month prior... then I called after he had submitted everything b/c we hadn't heard regarding the interview - and sure enough they said they had mailed out his interview letter the week before (to SpeedEx?) in Peshawar... SpeedEx didn't actually receive it or call him until a week after that... ---- hang in there, she'll get it soon.

They asked him if he could travel before August? DUH????? Does anyone know how they send the letter? Is it via postal system or via a courrier? Good luck to everyone else. Imran try Speedex now. I asked him and that is who he had heard was holding the new contract.

Mary - did they actually tell him he needs the letter to come down... b/c when I s/w the CO from Afghanistan, she told me that a letter was being sent out to us to come down, and that if I wanted to speed up the process I could come down without it... when we went down we just told the guard that the CO told us to come down and he let us in... (unfortunately my visit didn't turn out how I expected - not sure if she was looking at the wrong file or what considering they missed the fact that they hadn't even taken a complete set of fingerprints BUT that's another story...)

insha'Allah this is it for Ishteaq, so if he doesn't have to wait for the letter, I'm sure he's willing to make a trip to the embassy sometime between now and August

Hey Mary! Naseers letter was dated the 14th he received it on the 16th. But that was back with TCS.

In my opinion it will not going to hurt Ishteaq if he visits embassy without letter. I think Ishteaq lives in Lahore or Fasialabad in either way a trip to Islamabad from Faisalabad or Lahore is not a big issue. Wait until Monday morning if he didn’t get anything on Monday visit embassy early Tuesday morning. I think it is not a good idea to visit embassy on Monday because it is first day of the week they got tons of things to handle.
