We WON!! After more than 1 year of struggling with the "Administrative Procedure / Review", starting with an K3 Visa application / interviewin April 2005, then the CR1 Visa interview in October 2005, eventually the Mumbai Consulate HAD to issue an IR1 Visa. First a CR1 Visa was issued. But I returned it asking for the IR1 visa since we had completed 2 years of marriage while waiting for the AR to be completed. The IR1 was then issued immediately.

Our case moved swiftly only after we were able to get the DOS to inquire and intervene in our case. Everything got wrapped up in less than 10 days. No Senator or Congress Rep. were of any help. It was just my wife, a common American who made DOS sit up and take notice.

Some people over here are aware of our case but many might not since all my messages are erased after the site crashed some few weeks back. I will try to put up the entire saga as soon as possible in one post for those looking for information / guidance.

Imran I had Main Tenu Pyar Kerna on my Avitar before. Brother Dood Wala told me to change it to say what it does now. Thanks to him.

I know very few words in Urdu and hope once Ishteaq arrives he can teach me to speak the language. I am from the Deep South and the family loved my attempts at speaking Urdu when I was in Pakistan. Southern accent. makes it interesting for sure.

As far as the current letter you can send it now or later and and if you have the abilities to scan the latest info and email them to your wife she could print them off the web. I did this with our phone records so he would be very current at the time of the interview.

And Chaurans was very blessed with their news. He has been on VJ long time and I was very happy that his long battle ended for him and his wife. Shows that there is light at the end of our tunnels.

This letter was to be sent to him today or tomorrow and they will not tell me all the details since it was for him. At the time of his interview they did not take his passport. I am excited since Shon is having good news today.

YA!!! that is great Mary!!! Naseer got the same letter.. he spent 8 hours at the Embassy and was asked NO questions - then with 3 strangers in his group was told the Visa was sent to Karachi!! WEEEEE Im so excited for you Mary@!!!!!!!

Thanks everyone. Laney I am so hoping they tell him he can have his visa. JP is due for surgery on June 1st and Ishteaq is asleep now. His job has him for the past month in another city so when he wakes up at 5 am. for his prayers and gives me my bells. I will call him with this latest news.
