I called DOS this am for my weekly update one day early. LOL Well no changes or updates on our case since 12/13. Says it is under review at the embassy. Omid, did you call and find out any news on your case?

Thanks Brother Dean it is very stressful not knowing what is going on. I have been patient and now I need Euro's line? Got any patience to spare? LOL

I called last night at about 11 am PK time (couldn't stay up past that - lol) and spoke to a PK guy who said he could help me or I would need to call at 3-4 PK time to s/w a CO... he told me that our case is in admin processing, they have to do a "background check", that my fiance has three names (f,m,l) which are not all that uncommon, and that it will take at least about 45 days or so - it's been 25 now - he said to call back again in 15-20 days if we haven't heard anything... I asked if they are going to be doing this name check through DOS, he told me that he cannot tell me or the beneficiary that information b/c its an "internal" matter but that we should just wait until we hear from them... I asked if there was anything else I can do in the interim to help facilitate matters and he said no, everything is fine so far, just wait....

I am so enlightened now and feel so informed, I know exactly what's going on, that everything will be just fine insha'ALlah and I know when they are going to call him for his visa.... ahhh... oh Mary if only they were as helpful to you as they were to me

this is very frustrating... it would just be nice to know that it will happen eventually and to have a specific date, even if it's (god forbid) six months out, at least I would know and I could plan things without constant worry and uncertainty... but I guess as a government employee myself I shouldn't be too surprised with all the vague, ambiguous information and the inefficiencies of their work... anyway... tawakal-toal-ALlah... whenever it's meant to happen it will happen... I just pray for patience in the meantime... for us all...

I guess I should call DOS weekly to see if they receive the file...

cheer up... after you waited for a few more months call the congressman thats all you can do. in the mean time.. learn how to make a PK dish or your fiancee. I am trying to learn how to make Jamons.. lol

what I have noticed alot lately. was field investigations. if your case is dragging on longer than

you think it should . do not be surprised if you get the OLD random Field investigation.. :crying

actually my fiance and I are both Afghan, and he actually lives in Afghanistan ... but my sister's husband is Paki and he makes some goooood Paki food

do you really think they would send someone all the way to Jalalabad for a K-1???? I told my fiance to be prepared for a random visit from the embassy... basically another "interview"

Thanks for the update. I know it is so frustrating and like I said I call on Wednesdays and they are so informative.......lol Oh, well hang in there and hopefully your time will not be much longer. I am praying we have word by the 15th if not they said we could contact them at that time.
