OK - I have to vent! why is it that someone can come on a K-1 and get their Soc Sec # immed - yet my husband has to wait until he has an approved EAD? I dont get it!

And we are praying for you Shon and Mary!

I am sorry Laney its the whole red tape hell

but, you know people in Dallas get D.O.R.A. this is called

Rapid AOS. this is where you go to USICS and get everything approved in one day. EAD, AOS everything.

I know doing AOS is like starting over. but your husband should have EAD in 90days and if he dont have it then go to USICS- local office and get approval. I dont think all K-1 have it easy street either.

An update for us: My hubby got his AOS interview in the end of May...it's funny because that's when we had the K-1 interview...coincidence? lol I hope we don't suffer the same fate we did with K-1 (AR) and get that green card so we can finally have our honeymoon the way we wanted to.

Once again...GOOD LUCK! and keep on posting the good and the bad(hopefully more good)...because I wanna celebrate and cheer you on...even though I don't post much I am cheering for ya'll in spirit...

Hi everyone, Just keeping everyone informed as to whats going on. As it stands my husband is waiting for the copy of the 1040 and the updated I-864 form when he recieves it they told him to go back to the embassy and with those documents he should have the visa in hand that day, they alrwady took his visa last week and promised him that when he comes back that it will all be ready to go. So now the Day has come for us to set the day on the day he will fly out, If he gets the visa friday which we plan for him to be there by then, then he will be here the following week for my daughters wedding. Well there ya go all updated lol . Hope someone got there's this week. Congrats on those who have or even had movement in the case. Still love ya shon lol even tho I haventheard from ya. Love ya gurl lol. Mary hope you heard some thing as well . You deserve to be with your man by now as well gurl in all this hell you have gone through. I have been in your shoes and you know that for sure, with 10 months on AR it was hell for me as well . Well good luck to all and god bless you and your families as well.....

Well Nizzy both of those sound like nice trips.

Shelia I am still stuck in AP. I finally had the embassy tell me that they are still doing AP in Pakistan and have no dates. I am praying that they finish this up soon.

Good luck on your hubby getting here for the wedding. Not much longer and he will be home and it is possible to be here in few days time.

hey is this the only thread running on ISL or is there another one. Cause i swear i saw another one some where else on this site. When will they update these processing dates, i dont understand. I am thinking of going to pakiland this summer. JUne 24.

And maybe go there for a year next time i go. ITs only 500 bucks a month to live in pakistan. maybe just a little more. What you guys think. Thats my dream, to make enough money so i can live there for rest of my life. hehe. Its a little funny i am applying for my wife to be here, when i want to be over there.
