Here is the update. Ishteaq called the embassy for an update on Friday and was informed the case was in DC. I will contact DOS for confirmation tomorrow or wednesday at the latest. When I called friday it was not showing any updates and I know if it was just cabled it takes a few days to go thru the que. Hope to share confirmation news with all later. Sure am praying that we are at DOS now.

Mary

Wow Mary.. that took them so long - but Its good its moving. I hope DOS kicks it into High Gear for you - say hi to the ladies for me :P

I have not posted in awhile - I guess I was hoping that a non-watched pot would boil and I would see more sisters and Hubbys with Visa's in hand today - but I'm sure it will be soon - you and Shon and sheila and Omid, Al and anyone else who is waiting.

Naseer is good - but bored - I dont think he is used to sitting around the house. With no license & no EAD his days run long. He's already cleaned the garage  (I dont think I have ever been that bored).

Good luck everyone - I hope to see good news this week!

Me and Nas at Benihanas in Orlando

Thanks for thinking of us Laney - glad to hear you and Naseer are doing well - other than being bored of course.

Is DCF an option through ISL? if so, does anyone know the requirements?

YES .... DCF is an option in PK.

but, you have to meet some requirements. those are..

1.. living in Pakistan 6 months or longer.

2.. married.

because, the security checks are so crazy. it makes DCF not a true option. DCF is really designed to get your spouse over here Faster than k-3. when I filed for my ex husband he was in the USA in 1 week.

if you get the DCF your spouse would come on CR1.

DCF is an ideal option for a husband that is USC and wanting to bring over his wife, and the USC husband lived in PK over 6 months consistantly.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
