To be honest I know it took us week to get our police certificate. So maybe they did want a little something extra to get it faster. Understand that is how Pak works.

Shon - I have a question for you... You've explained the whole process of how the file goes through the visa review meetings at the end of the month, then DOS, then back... I was wondering where you got that info from? and, Is that something specific to ISL or is it standard for all embassies?

I got it from the CO at the embassy. he explained to me how it worked.

Thanks buddies for Remembering me,

Need your Prayers, Went for Police certificate today, will get it on Saturday.

hey Do i have to send my Passport too with packet 3.5? it says

no dont send passport. send passport COPY!

to get it so fast. he sent the packet today. should be at the embassy tomorrow. :dance:

Hello Everyone,

Today was my weekly call to DOS. I talked to lovely Barbara again and she said we had not had any changes this week again. Said to call her back next week if it makes me feel better and that they will contact Ishteaq once the embassy is ready to proceed. So nothing new to report on my status this week. Just hope by end of month maybe some good news.

Atif I pray for everyone on the boards daily so your taken care of on that one. And only a copy like Shon said of your passport is needed. Good luck and keep us posted.

Omid any news?

Mary

Haven't bothered calling DOS again - I am planning to contact the embassy (a CO) before I go there and just pray that I can bring him back with me insha'Allah ... I realize it's very wishful on my part but it doesn't hurt to wish.

Well Omid you are right :yes: ... It cant hurt and I really hope you had better luck then I did. I will tell you that they will not allow the both of you to go in. One has to sit outside while the other goes in. They will try to make it where you cant speak to a officer. Dont like that discourage you.Dont bother going till after 12:30 there time, cause the Officers dont get there till that time. Just dont want you going in the morning only to find out that they wont see you till 12:30. Best of luck on your trip hope you have as much fun as I did :dance: , have fun thats whats its for, to have fun with your loved one. god bless you and yours :luv: ...... Sheila yousuf :thumbs:

Omid good luck on getting some answers and like you said you can only try to see if they will talk to you and give you good results on your visit to Pakistan.

Shelia you must be very excited since they are to give you a decision on the K3 tomorrow. Good luck on the nerves since I know I would be pacing the floors.

Well to be honest mary.... Im not nervous at all for some reason. When it comes to matters of importance anymore Im not nervous Im just do what comes next with no thought behind it. Im wondering sometimes if they are even telling the truth at the embassy because they have been known to lie about things when it comes to calling back. So I dont know what to expect when I call tonight but just to hope to speak with the american officer and get the answer that Im looking for.If anything when it comes to be excited or nervous about its always when it comes to the completion of things like when it came to the air ride there and back I was nervous only cause I wanted the plane to land safely lol thats all the nervous I got. I guess cause its my age or the things I have been through in my life that I learned not be get nervous about Im not sure but I just take everything with a ease, If it happens then it does and if it doesnt then Its not meant to be yet.Lots of luck to Omid on her trip and to your case which im sure you wish was done by now. God bless you are yours. :yes:

~~~~~~~~~ SHEILA HAS A QUESTION THAT WAS POSTED IN THE WRONG AREA.
WHERE IT COULD NOT BE VIEWED. SO MOVING IT HERE SO YOU ALL CAN RESPOND ~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

anyone know why they would call my husband into the embassy? they told me that they wanted to explain the case to him..... I dont get it lol. when I asked if he can tell me why they want to explain it to him and not to me on the phone he said that its the law that they have to talk to him first before telling me. Is this because they are about to give him or visa? when I said to him omg please dont tell me this is denied cause I made sure we got all the paperwork done his reply was "well no only the state dept can do that", they didnt even tell me to tell him to bring his passport and I was to confused to even ask. Does anyone know or can even shed some light on this for me?

It will be here soon. Man i am afraid of whats goign to happen to wife at the embassy. one of my friends wife had to go through so much bs at the embassy. Its been 2 years his wife stil not here.

Ok this is off the topic and i guess it relates to pakistan and this forum. I have a great idea, i think we should start a outsourcing company in pakistan that sends out protestors to all over the world. Since we are number one in strikes and protesting. NO matter what happens there is a hartal in pakistan.

The company will not discriminate based on race, religion, cast etc. All and any kind of protest, we will be able to send people. The protestors will vary in degree, from mild to very WILD. We can offer calm protestors who only hold signs and walk around or we can offer protesotrs who are experts in causing mayhem. I think there is alot of money to be made here.

what you guys think, of course please no serious replies only jokes and fun intended here. Dont make it a political discussion. lol. or i will have to bring out the protestors.

hafiz,

dont compair your case to theirs! every case is pretty much diffrent.

if you both have no problems in the PAST. then the odds of her getting her visa after

the interview are GOOD. dont sweat it. its the men comming over that has a little

bit of a wait < to put it mildly >

Just like Shon said if your case is simple you should not have problem. Most women are coming without any problems. It is the men that are facing the field investigations, AR and AP. So relax and take it one day at a time.
