Cindy I am glad to hear that the other couple finally has been called back to Islamabad. Shahab and Dianes case has been a very long and drawn out ordeal. Good luck to them on being reunited and hope we hear more good news from Islamabad.

HI Omid.

how are you doing? fine I hope. well we got the packet. we have to get a new police report is all. hubby is going monday to do just that. he said it takes a couple of days then off to the embassy it will go along with the other dubage they asked us for. I can see the light at the end of this hellish tunnel. so if we are granted some mercy I suspect we could be done by easter.

Btw,

I have spoken to a CO before. since that time I felt no need to speak to one again. if you want to speak to a CO. request to talk to someone that speaks english. pull whatever out your hat. to make them consider your call URGENT. you have to get past the phone watch dogs.

they certainly love hanging up on you or placing you on hold for along time.

Hello Omid,

I have not talked to anyone personally at the embassy. Ishteaq has talked to them and the one man is always nice once you can talk to person instead of being on hold forever. I did write the embassy again this week and they did reply. Hey usually no response so I was happy.

Not as yet. This case is still pending for administrative review.

Dear Consulate Officer,

I am writing today to see if we have had any movement on my husband's CR1 case?

Can you tell me when you expect to send the case to DOS?

Any response would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Their response was in the bold. Good luck.

Mary

I'm doing well alhamdulilah - counting down the days :)

I hope you're feeling better these days. Sounds like very little left for you to do on the case - hopefully the police certificate won't take too much time...

and not to be discouraging, but I've learned to stop setting "deadlines" by which I think he'll be here, b/c every one that has come and gone has been very deflating - so I am making a point to do what Mary says, one day at a time... and when he finally gets the visa in hand , the most important date will be when he sets foot on American soil insha'Allah! nevertheless, Insha'Allah you'll have your hubby by your side well before Easter! ;)

Funny how they get us to where any response is better than no response at all - lol ...

well ladies I'm praying that insha'ALlah we'll all receive positive responses real soon - wouldn't it be great if I could bring back my fiance at the end of April, and to come check the boards to find out both of your hubbies are already here? Hope springs eternal!!!

I agree Omid. It would be wonderful news that all of us are reunited during that time frame.

Shon glad to hear that you are finally feeling better from the nasty flu bug.
