Ugly Bride Derailed Arranged Marriage

Lawsuit: New Delhi woman was too homely for Massachusetts man

JULY 6--Claiming that the bride in an arranged marriage was too homely for his son, a Massachusetts man is suing friends who sought to set up the New Delhi nuptials. In his lawsuit, Dr. Vijai Pandey contends that he traveled with his family to India to meet his 37-year-old son Pranjul's future wife, but was "extremely shocked" to discover that the woman was "ugly," had "protruded bad teeth," and could not speak English or hold a conversation. The family called off the ceremony, noted Pandey in his Hampden Superior Court complaint, a copy of which you can find below. The lawsuit, which seeks $200,000 in damages, names as defendants Lallan and Kanti Giri, a Maryland couple whose niece was the proposed bride. As Pandey sees it, the Giris are guilty of, among other things, fraud and conspiracy for trying to arrange a union with their unattractive relative. Along with supposedly suffering emotional distress, Pandey alleges that the derailed wedding cost him money spent on travel and long-distance telephone calls. (12 pages)

we are doing fine, our AOS interview is august 15th(wohoo).August 18th he will be 40. Us Bank would not let him add to the account, because he did not have an Iowa ID for more than 2 months , said it had something to do with the patriot act ( i found out that this was not true called thier customer service and complained got it straightned out) we are still working on where everything fits, kids, job, meals, etc.. big lifestyle change for him.Lat week the 14 year old told him "your not my father etc.. 14 year old bs, which messed with his nang and namoos for a few days. Currently, he is enjoying college and we are working on an internet business and some marketing and distrubution off the internet as well. Daughter and son invovled with this.Every month he is sad because of no baby concieved( seems mumps messed this up for us). enjoy company friends, thier kids and my daughters thier friends and kids though. , Weekly we find a day to get out of town and do things, last week we spent two days in minneapolis. His little brother is getting married, moved up the date to august 5th (guess she had some company coming from England yada, so we said heck with it and planning trip to Hawaii in the fall, head home next year, we want to have a big marraige reception of ours in his home town.

everything will be fine with the bank , the 14 year old, the college and the rest of what you said.

well if you wanna have a baby. you could use technology. we will be using technology.

yeah me too... :( called DOS yesterday to hear "still pending admin processing" and then emailed ISL only to get the boilerplate response... I don't know how much more I can take - not that I have much choice but to take it - I just don't know how much longer before it breaks me down completely emotionally :crying:
