What would you do?

-----~~~~~~-----

Imagine this...

You are driving along in your car on a wild, stormy night. It's raining heavily when suddenly you pass by a bus stop, and you see three people waiting for a bus:

1. An old lady who looks as if she is about to die.

2. An old friend who once saved your life.

3. The perfect partner you have been dreaming about.

Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing very well that there could only be one passenger in your car?

Think before you continue reading...

This is a moral/ethical dilemma that was once actually used as part of a job application. You could pick up the old lady because she is going to die, and thus you should save her first; or you could take the old friend because he once saved your life, and this would be the perfect chance to pay him back. However, you may never be able to find your perfect mate again.

The candidate who was hired (out of 200 applicants) had no trouble coming up with his answer. Guess what his answer was?

He simply answered: "I would give the car keys to my old friend and let him take the lady to the hospital. I would stay behind and wait for the bus with the partner of my dreams."

Sometimes, we gain more if we are able to give up our stubborn thought limitations. Never forget to “Think Outside of the Box.” So what was yours?

Man is a wonderful creature; he sees through the layers of fat (eyes), hears through a bone (ears) and speaks through a lump of flesh (tongue).

Dear sister, shutdown blackout is a very common routine thing in the third world especially in Southeast Asia (Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, India etc)

Besides Afghanistan & Pakistan are neighbors. !! :D

true ... I just figured that with Pakistan being more developed than Afghanistan there would be more predictability and stability with things like power... guess not... it's so sad... if you have money though, some how having power 24/7 is not so much an issue and the national "conservation" plans somehow don't apply.

bring the AOS to the interview- dont sweat it . rember AOS is the agreement to the goverment that

you promise to pay back any public charges. This is important other wise they will issue you 221G< temp denial >. until you produce it. one thing. is they need the ORGINAL AOS at POE! without it they will sent him right back to PK  thats why they stress it at the interview or you get 221g< temp denial >.

Just got off the phone with DOS - apparently this past week the embassy has sent DOS a query about the status of the security check - no response indicated on the screens yet.... OMG - what does this mean??? the embassy did this on their own initiative cause I haven't been in touch w/ them since early May.... I'm just so excited that there's been some movement and not the typical "pending" response... I'm thinking maybe they had their meeting last week???

I'm hoping the light at the end of the tunnel is close insha'Allah :clock:
