Hey guys-

I posted on the other forum too-i'll re-post here

1. In the interview letter they said to bring orignial affidavit of support-but we already sent the embassy all the originals

2. do they send you the original documents back? coz we didnt get any back.

Thanks:)

I am not sure if this is your K-3 interview or CR1. but, it dont matter.

here is what you do. if you submitted the I-134 its normally for K-3 interview.

< which they normally take this at the interview > if its the I-864 you are talking about

and it was submitted at the NVC. then you need to write a letter to the embassy and enclose it

with the 3.5 packet. I am gonna assume this is what you are talking about.

often times we have our K-3 interviews and then suddenly the CR1 interview is next. alot of the

documentation is already in the hands of the embassy. if this is the case. * apprently you are not

clear in stating what interview this is * . you need to make a list of things submitted in your letter.

just type up and sign a simple letter.

example like in our case. we had submitted

Passport, orignal marriage papers, medicals, and I-864 aff of sup.

in the letter. I will PM you a sample letter.. searching for the one I sent..

Hi Shon

First let me make it clear, that we are filing for CR-1. Again, I am USC and filed for my husband. I never applied for K-3.

I directly filed my I-130 at the embassy in Islamabad since I lived in Pakistan with my husband for about a year and a half. So I have not been dealing with NVC yet-all my dealing has been directly with Islamabad.

All my documents were filed at the Islamabad embassy. The packet 3.5 requested for affidavit of support, birth certificates, police certficates etc. We sent everything that was listed to the embassy.

Now we have received the interview letter-which is saying come in November with pictures etc. But also said original affidavit of support-which we already handed in with the packet 3.5. So I am wondering do they just send out a generic interview letter, or is something wrong here? We did not get out original documents back either.

I really appreciate your help:) Thanks a million

ok.

you dont need a new AOS. but, you need to make sure they have 2005 taxes. if they dont have them

bring them to the interview. they keep the originals til after the visa is issued. they have all our orginals too. the AOS is good for 1 year. if its lapsed by NOV. better have another one prepared.

let me ask this you been married over 1 1/2 years. your interview will be IR1. - 10 year green card.

if you are married 2 years at the time of interview. if your 2nd year anniversary is reached when you enter POE you get IR1. sometimes its a matter of a few days.

Laney was present with her husband for his interivew. They got AR/AP for three months or longer and it just depends on each case and the CO personally.

thats a myth.

being there dont have nothing to do with you being on AR/AP. The interview is to check the validity of the marriage. Its not an interview to determine AR/AP. if thats the case we would have never been on AR/AP

because, I got interviewed right after my husband did!!

AR/AP is determinded by 2 things. your DS 230 and your DS 157. another factor is also your Name, where you live. which by the way Pakistan is a "T-26" country. so that facter alone is enought to place you on AR/AP. those on AR/AP also will find themself on AR/AP in the USA no matter how long you been waiting on AR/AP. This is one reason why we decided to go with the CR1. if you come on CR1 or IR1 since you dont have to AOS. those on AR/AP have just as hellish wait when they have to AOS.

*read my Admin.review link * so you understand what AR/AP is

well saeedeh i am not sure but i think you will have an answer soon. SHOn practically lives on VJ. Its her bread and water.

well nothing beats jumma in karachi.

Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal brought out protest demonstrations from some 100 city mosques against the persistent power breakdowns.

The main demonstration was held at Mosque Nayab where people joined the protest after the Friday prayer. The demonstrators were carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans against the new management of the KESC and its privatisation. They called for the annulment of the KESC privatisation as done in the case of Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM).

The protestors were also shouting slogans against the government, venting their anger against the city government too. Many of the protestors were also carrying empty buckets and bulbs for symbolising their anger.(lol this is just beyond bs)

On this occasion the MMA leaders announced that a rally would be held on July 2 against the acute power failures and water shortage, which will march through Shamzai Chowk to MA Jinnah Road. The leaders asked Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) to explain as to why it supported the privatisation of the KESC while all other political parties opposed the decision.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Meraj-ul-Huda Siddiqui blamed the city and provincial governments for making life of common people miserable and turned a deaf ear to the rights of the

people.

The rights of people were usurped in the reign of MQM, he alleged and added that it should answer that what measures it had taken to get rid people of such problems, he questioned. Others who spoke on the occasion were Deputy Parliamentary leader in Sindh Assembly Nasrullah Shaji, Younus Barai, Hameedullah Khan and Abdul Haleem Ghori.

That is BS. MQM does nothing just gives pain to Karachites.

Man is a wonderful creature; he sees through the layers of fat (eyes), hears through a bone (ears) and speaks through a lump of flesh (tongue).

A friend of mine told me about an incident where he and some of his colleagues went to Hawkes Bay for a picnic. Upon reaching there they saw a deployment of Rangers jawans who had cordoned off around five to 10 huts and they were not allowing anyone access. Worried that there might be a dangerous situation developing, my friend inquired and was told that “Colonel Sahib ki family picnic mana rahi hae, tum log yehan sae chale jao”.

Anyone who works on I.I. Chundrigar Road has seen what happens when the SPs or the DIG leave from the CPO there, escorted by three or four mobile vans with their sirens blaring. Mr Masood’s suggestion to create another army to protect this one will not work as the new army will also need protection.

I have a solution. If army generals, the SPs and the DIGs are so scared of the common folk who they are supposed to protect, then they should resign and stay at home and let someone else do the job. The army, police and other agencies are there to protect the people, not the other way around.
