i hope some of you could help me. here is my situation:

in october of 2005 applied for k3 visa for my husband who is in pakistan. in november 2005 got noa1 and filed for i-129f for my husband. i received noa1 later that month. in december 2005 i received letter from nvc for copy of original marriage certificate in its original language. i sent it that week. then earlier this month i received letter from nvc stating they wanted me to send them a money order/cashier check for $70 to them. they said they will send me more paperwork once they receive the funds.

will these papers be the affidavit of support papers or something else?

then the other day i received a letter from nvc requesting information for agent of choice letter DS 3032 form. is this so that they can have an address to send information about my husbands case to? i sent the letter to pakistan my husband because they need his signature. i'm going to give them my address so that i'm the agent. is that what i should do? has everyone elase gone through this process as well?

should i be expecting to get a noa2 soon? if not, what should i be expecting to receive from now on from ins?

also, how do i check the status of my case online? is there a way to check that with my case number?

one more question, how do i set up a timeline at the bottom of my posts like many of you have set up?

1st.. you have to pay the 70.00 in order to receive the I-864.

this gets the ball rolling... here is a progression tree< flow chart > to tell you how each step will work..

I advise you to print this page up. this will explain what will happen NEXT and what packets your husband will receive:

the reason why you are confused all these things are for your husband to receive his

CR1 also known as the Green card. eventully the next payment after 70.00 FEE bill

is 380.00 FEE bill. this amount subject to change.

Make sure YOU are the agent of choice. then that way all papers go to You not- to him where they can get lost.

as far as the CR1 once you have a case number ISL2006#####

you use this number to contact NVC there number is

603 334 0700

press options 1, 1, 2, * ISL ,1, case number, 0

you will recive update status normally in message form. if you dont understand what you are being told

press 0 the operater will clearify this.

hopefully with the Flow chart you should be clear on the next steps.

What is Muharram? I was checking the website for Cairo after I saw this and they don't show any closing days next week for Muslim holidays . . . and believe me, they do take them . . . last one was Jan. 31 for the New Years.

It is holiday in rememberance of Fatima's sons and others that were ran into dessert and if they came out to get water and food were killed. It was a very bloody battle when the Muslims were trying to get established and spread the word of Muhammad. MPUH This is basic overview and am sure someone with more knowledge can tell you more.

guess what everyone..........yup my husband got his visa today...........his number appeared on saturday morning, but they weren't confirming anything.......so i didn't want 2 let the cat out of the bag........i m soooooo happy..........3 months on AR........ :dance: whewwwwwwwwww..........can't beleive its all over..........good luck to all the others.......shon i think you should call the embassy also.........and omid you are near that means b/c i was in the same boat as you..........
