Any comments are welcome.

For those of you who do not know NVC does not issue IIN number any more until the AOS or IV Fee Bill has been sent out. As I can remember calling the lady at NVC she said that today is the last day that they can give out the IIN number. I am sorry that I was not able to inform you all of this before because I was not sure if this was usual since it was the first time I was calling the NVC. But if anyone is able to retrieve the IIN please add a reply here.

Thanks.

Any comments are welcome.

Thanks for the information, but I say it doesn't hurt to keep trying until you get it. Nothing lost in trying.

So true. It sounds like every operator has a different answer about the IIN, just like everything else. It really doesn't hurt to try!

Long story short, we have a complicated case. We've been at this for nearly 5 years. You can read our story here. I highly recommend our attorney Laurel Scott, as well as attorneys Laura Fernandez and Lizz Cannon .

Filed I-130 via CSC in Feb 2008. Petition approved June 2008. Consular interview in Mexico, Oct 2008, visa denied, INA 212a6cii. We allege improper application of the law in this case.

2012, started over in Seoul: I-130 filed DCF on 7/2, I-130 approved 8/8, Medical at Yonsei Severance 11/20, IR1 appointment in November 2012.

CRBA filed 1-3-13 at Seoul for our daughter

It only take them a few days after receiving your case, before the AOS and ds-3032 are generated and sent. I would check the AVR every morning to listen for the updates on your case.

To be honest, I think it makes sense not to give the IIN before the bills are actually generated. It was causing problems (and delays) for some people who paid the bills before they were generated by the system. The place that processes the payments is in a different state from the place that generates the forms. It doesn't appear that the systems are fully integrated yet.

I would suggest people keep trying to pay online though. Much much faster!

Once you have the IIN for the AOS Fee Bill, it is the same number for the IV Fee Bill, and the IV Fee Bill is not generated until the returned DS3032 is in the NVC system, while the AOS Fee Bill is immediately available to pay once the DS3032 is generated.
