My hubby and I are having a debate over renewing passport. According to him, he needs to renew his passport every time he change his apartment. We are planning to get into a better place once I come to US (same city but different apartment) and he says he will need to send his Passport to let the govt. include the new address, and he even insist that the Indian passport which I have too needs to be renewed with the new address.

I don't know if its true or not, can someone clarify?

Never heard of that, if everyone did that, the passport department would never be able to issue new passports.

Does your international passport provide a home address?

What does need to occur is that the alien is required to update the USCIS as to the new address but this is none via a form not the passport.

YMMV

Yes, my Indian passport does have my home address of India. I think I will need to renew my passport only when I take my husband's last name, which I plan to do once I come to US.

So I guess I stand correct that both him and me doesn't need to renew our passport on the basis that we are merely changing apartments.
