Great list... and all very true.

This is my second marriage, and I learned a lot from my first marriage which has helped me this time around.

I agree that a marriage requires some attention, just like a garden does. If you don't water, feed and nurture your garden, everything will die. A marriage is much the same.

Agree.

Liefde is een bloem zo teer dat hij knakt bij de minste aanraking en zo sterk dat niets zijn groei in de weg staat

IK HOU VAN JOU, MARK

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

I promise to love you in good times and in bad, with all I have to give and all that I am, in the only way I know how -- completely and forever......

I really like the one about remembering the small kindnesses and saying thank you. I have seen this go by the wayside in friend's and family's marriages and it seems to me that it shows a big disconnect with your partner when you begin to take them for granted. Saying thank you is a small thing but very, very important. Doing the little things that let's your partner know you care and are considerate of them as a person as well as your partner is significant. Nice list, thank you.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Hehe, I like #8 about dressing up. We started out in track bottoms and yoga pants, so I don't know how we can go down much :)
