Hi all,

I need to transfer my wife's application from Jordan consulate to Turkey. I had to change her interview appointment 4 times so far. She lives in Iraq and the US embassy in Baghdad doesn't process immigrant visa so our case was sent to Jordan. She need visa to get into Jordan .Jordan deny her visa because they process the visa very slow and by the time they are done processing her appointment would be already passed so they deny her and ask her to apply again. When she got visa they sent her back from the airport they told her that Jordan doesn't honor Iraqi documents issued after 2003. The last time she went and took with her documents pre 2003 they told her photos are very old on those documents. I contact the Turkish embassy and they told me they will give her visa in few hour but they need approve of interview in Ankara. So how can I move our case to Turkey and how long this process wills take

[/size]

Thank you

Sharif, You need to talk to embassy + I would talk to NVC or Department of State and find solution.

Sorry to tell you, US embassy in Ankara sucks big time. They are so slow and not efficient. I know it is probably easier for her to go to Turkey, but if there any other possibility for another country (In europe for instant) schedule one there.

Turkey has lots of Iraqi refugees waiting to be processed and they don't love Iraqi's much over there. I may sound disappointing to you but I am trying to help you. I hope everything will go great for you guys and good luck.
