Usually not. But, it is possible you will be required to have one. Why?

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

Nice congratulations!!!

I've read the same thing Jomo's girl said, some times they ask you to come in to interview and others they just automatically send you the 10 year green card without having to come in.

Hi D&M,

Congratulations on your wife being approved for her 2yr conditional residency green card.

In answer to your quesion: From what I've been told from an immigration lawyer, for the most part (about 90%), no, there isn't another interview for the removal of conditions/I-751s. However (the 10% here): For statistical/quality control purposes, they do randomly have interviews for I-751. Also, if your case is unique and/or questionable (such as a divorce, separation, not enough evidence, etc.), then they might possibly call you for an interview too.

My advice, is to be prepared for an interview, just in case, however don't count on having an interview for the removal of conditions/I-751 stage.

Hope this helps.

Ant (3 more days until I submit the I-751....)

Just out of curiosity. Because my wife was just Approved for conditional permanent residency yesterday!!! :D

Are there any known criteria used to determine who interviews? Would country of origin matter?

I don't think so.. I think most of the time they just call someone in for an interview for quality control

Thanks :)

One reason to be called in is for insufficient evidence, make sure you sent in plenty of evidence. Another reason my wife's friend was called in, they lost her evidence, could have told her that, but she had to make an additional trip at great expense to her to bring it in. Yet another reason, I have read someplace on the USCIS, man, that site is huge, is a random sampling where some lucky ones are called in. Fortunately for us, we were most of the unlucky ones. Hope that you are unlucky too.

If that helps answer your question - I am from Ukraine, and were not asked to come in for an interview. I received my permanent card about 3 months after I applied for it last year (VSC).
