Hi all,

I'm scheduled to leave the country on the 28th of August but haven't had my CFO seminar yet. My plan is to go the day before my flight which is August 27 since my schedule to leave Davao is on the 26th.

I have few questions:

1. Will August 27 (1 day) be enough time for me to go through the seminar (at PRISM?) and registration at the CFO?

2. What do they require aside from what's listed on the CFO website?

Your advice and/or infos will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance & God bless everyone!

P.S.

Does anyone here scheduled to leave the country on August 28? My POE is Minneapolis, Minnesota.

It would be a good idea to do CFO sooner in case you don't have some documents they may require. They can be "nit picky" sometimes. They wouldn't let a friend of mines fiancee do the seminar until she had a certified copy of my buddys divorce decree. That was over a year ago and it seems like they may have eased off on their requirements lately.

Better not to chance it tho.

Only other holdup I've seen is when a 21 year old didn't have parents consent!

My advise is take seminar in advance to avoid hassle...You can have ur CFO sticker in the airport... If ur partner is a divorcess secure copy of divorce decree/s...And get ready for passport and visa photocopies.

Happy Trip in advance!!!!

=I would say yeah. But I would suggest that come 2 days before you leave the country since you dont know if there would be some trouble. Better not to worry or cram. I had my cfo it last 3 hours before you can get the cert from PRISM, and you need to go to CFO main office in Quirino for another cert and for the sticker of your passport.

2. What do they require aside from what's listed on the CFO website?

=Just prepare Php250 for the cert and reg fee. And P.S. know the middle name of your mother -n- law, contact numbers of your fiance, any contact details. they will ask you that.

Your advice and/or infos will be greatly appreciated.

:star: if you are going to attend CFO a day before you leave, might as well just go in a 10am schedule, because they have 10,1:30 and 3:30.

(I went there with my husband and they had to see him  ) which I dont think that includes in the seminar.

Thanks in advance & God bless everyone!

My advice, bring all docs with you to make sure that you can make it in 1 day. They are asking pics of you together, divorce papers, BC, Marriage cert (if you are married), 2 valid IDs, if he's your fiance' and he's single--you need some proof that he is!

You know why, when I had a seminar with PRISM, I had the chance to talk to a filipina who's engaged with a single american. She said the interviewer asked her a proof that her fiance' is single! When she couldn't give any, interviewer hold her certificate and she needs to come back the next day to provide such document...

So if you want to take the seminar a day before your flight, you need to gather all documents (possible) that they will ask from you and since you are living in Davao, days before your flight is not advisable (you need to spend for tickets) though it's advantage.
