I am glad that things got cleaned up around there, Brad. Sheesh! that took awhile, didnt it??

Nawal.....this WAS my thread, but someone got moddy and decided to not notify me via a PM and allow me to re start it once it maxed out to 500 pages. Clever of them, wouldnt you say?? But rest assured, you are more than welcome here.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Im trying to survive just like the next person, I rekon. Thank you for asking. Please tell Vika that HEART wishes her a very special birthday! May she have 100 more !

How is Brad, by the way??

Doing reasonably well Nagi, thanks for asking. I have power again, and the last hazmat team left last night after cleaning up the raw sewage that backed up into the house. Everything has been sanitized for our protection.

I really like the beautiful baby pics I see posted here. I do get a little nervous though, as Viktoria wants at least one. When I think about going through all that again.... I can't believe any one has real problems with baby pics.

Thanks Brad! Although they are our first babies (and last..lol) I can say its been quite a trip with twins! We were planning on one and surprise! But as you know, what a blessing! I never knew what other parents were talking about until they were born!

Where are you that hazmat teams came in? I'm glad to hear things are getting cleaned up! Stay safe! BTW---Your fiance is very beautiful! I love the roses pic so much!

Nagi! It's yours...I can tell by all the peeps on here and what they have said. ;-) I will stick around then. Baby pictures and all! (F)

I am in Kentucky. We had a half million without power (still 100,000 I think), most in my city. When the power came back on, every one apparently did laundry, showered, and flushed at once. There was a problem somewhere, and since I was closest to the sewer main, well...

Vika and I met here , over dinner at a friend's house last year. I wasn't even close to a life commitment when her visa expired, so she went home, I thought for good. I visited Ukraine a few months later, hosted by the family of our mutual friend, and Vika called her and arranged to see me while I was there. Since then it has all been about the paperwork (as we all know). We are crazy about each other, but I still wonder about the age difference sometimes. She thinks my worry is pretty funny, and tries to reassure me that in her culture there is not nearly the stigma attached ("and besides Bradik", she says "you aren't THAT much older").

I do know what you mean about the kids. You really have some interesting times ahead. Parenting is the most frustrating, and unexpectedly rewarding thing you will ever do. Keep taking pictures and movies. You will be glad of it later!

Age is just a number! You both look very happy together in your photos. I have a friend I work with who met his wife in Mexico at a language school on the beach (NICE!). She is from Switzerland. They spent time together, kept writing, then she came to visit in the US. After the visitor visa was up, she headed home and then they filed for the K1. He is 20 years her senior. They have been married now for about 6 years. I adore them and they are compatible. It's definately NOT about the age. (F)

BTW--We can't stop taking pics and videos. LOL My poor babies feel stalked at times!

Yeah, BLECK is right, but doesn't begin to really describe it. :(

Thanks for the comments above. Some of my trouble probably stems from paranoia created by my divorce years ago. Also there are plenty of cultural issues to wade through. VJ is a good place to talk about those. Usually, I find that when I am most confused or upset it is because I missed something or just didn't understand.

And it looks like that cat is the one doing the stalking!

The Mayonnaise Jar and 2 Cups of Coffee

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began , he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls . He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls . He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with an unanimous "yes."

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the empty space between the sand . The students laughed.

"Now," said the professor as the laughter subsided, "I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things--your family, your children, your health, your friends and your favorite passions-- and if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full."

"The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house and your car."

"The sand is everything else--the small stuff."

"If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff you will never have room for the things that are important to you." "Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your spouse out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal." " Take care of the golf balls first--the things that really matter. Set your priorities.

The rest is just sand ." One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented. The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend." When things in your lives seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2 cups of coffee. Please share this with someone you care about.

I JUST DID
