Yeah. I do defend Jersey though, in part because the bad reputation isn't entirely deserved (although in very large part it is).

My wife, who has only been in America five years, asked me, why do people sing songs about California but never New Jersey or New York? My answer.. because California is a freakin' cult.

There were nice parts of NJ, just not the parts that were cheap(ish) to live and in easy commuting distance of NYC.

California was much nicer - I'd have loved to have stayed out there. It's just a shame the economy is in the toilet. Everyone I know out there is struggling financially now.

It's a shame. Things are much better here in the shadow of Wall Street, thanks to the bailouts
