There is nothing worse than sitting in a hot conference room from 3-4:30PM reviewing an IT technical issues/resolution list. :crying:

Those meetings are always a drag, no matter how hot or cold it is. The fact that every team rep in those meetings is there prepared with a litany of excuses does not help.

my knowledge is very limited. I know a little bit about a lot of things. one symptom here or there might spark an idea, but I am not good enough to diagnose people. I may get lucky here or there though.

Hello BelovedSisterAmby, are you still planning on going to MedSkool?

Ok...so you have 'outted' me, my excuse list was the longest, and what really drained me was my own filibustering of excuses!

I just hope that it exhausted the recipients of my exhausted them as much as it did me to deliver it!

One of the things that is annoying me at present is our relationship with one of our service providers. When there's a problem that is in their domain, they're required to produce an RCA prior to the problem being closed out. Now what happens if you do your due diligence and you can't determine root cause? You say so. No, not our service provider! They will always find a root cause even when it's bullshit and transparently wrong. They don't get it through their thick heads that "I don't know" is an acceptable answer, as long as you don't say it all the time and as long as you have a plan for avoiding the answer next time.

Classic IT first line of defense: Make the requestor explain the problem to you. If they can't do it to your egotistical satisfaction, then that person is an idiot because they can't clearly communicate to you in excruciating details the problem that they want you to resolve...

IT people are the xvsk :help:

Forget the donkey show.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
