hi there, yes this is possible. just show them the letter from NVC (although they did not get the copy). I had my medical wed and thu even if i don't have interview date yet. my fiance was able to book me an appointment just this morning. good luck.

my wife has the letter from the embassy (instruction package), which is just as good as the one from NVC I suppose

that's even better i guess because they first asked me if i receive any letter from the embassy but i told them i haven't receive it yet so i showed the letter from NVC
