Hi,

I am married to a US citizen and we have an interview next week for conditional green card. We got into a huge fight and I think our marriage is irreparable. So, she decided not to go to the interview. The thing is our marriage is totally in good faith and I can prove it with lots of evidence. So, at this point, what should I do? Can I go to the interview by myself and explain the situation to them? Or, should I reschedule it for a future date? Thanks.

If the marriage is truly ireparable then what would be accomplished by the delay?

YMMV

I think it's too late to reschedule by letter. You can at least go and explain the situation to the IO. It's not the first time that someone's done this. I don't think you can go through with the interview without her but they might try to reschedule you for a later date in the hopes that you could work things out.

Hi

Do you really need ur spouse for the interview? I dont think so , as I have seen so many folks go to interview alone

Yes u do need her "yes" though ...Again what you get is conditional green card, valid only for 2 years,

Do go for the interview ...and if you believe ur marriage is in good faith , it will work out

Best of luck
