I would like to empathise with you [and all the others of us there must be] who have suffered the additional waiting for a divorce to come through I have not mentioned this before but waiting for USCIS to approve you is ten times worse when you have already been waiting a year for a blinking divorce decree

I agree Scarlett - what's another few months when you've waited all that time already? I have waited TWO years though .. he refused to sign the papers first time around so I've had to wait the extra year!

Nevermind .. the waiting is almost over and I now have a 100 watt bulb at the end of the "tunnel" instead of a candle ...

My visit to Iowa is almost finished - I will be flying back to the UK this coming Sunday, but we just got back from a great week in the Wisconsin Dells and Door County, so I have lots of lovely memories to keep me going until I see my love again ....

I just got back from a fiance visit too. We went to Disneyland and despite my British cynicism I really loved it

I am waiting to hear from the Embassy in London now, who say they still don't have my approved petition, even though it was approved 18 July... Sigh...

I know it is horrible when someone has control of your life like that....we were set back 3 years because of his ex wife's refusal to sign papers...it seems like a lifetime away now, but I'll never forget the frustration and thousands of $ it cost us.

My SO works for the University ... sighs .. pity it wasn't the mall - I might have got a discount ...

That is very kind of you - thank you! I'm hoping to get a secretarial job in the University hospital, but if there's nothing available when I apply then I will certainly be looking for some kind of job to keep me going ... Yankee Candle Shop would be ideal - I take deep breaths every time I pass the shop - it has the most gorgeous smell!!
