They gave me a date...September 2nd! I don't know what time yet and I still have to go pick up the packet and get a bunch of stuff done including the medical, police certs and what not. It's going to be a busy few weeks coming up. But thank God, thank our senators office and thank VJ and all it's members for helping to get us this far.

Congrats, girl - You will be interviewing the same day as Islandwoman, I think

Hi Ruby_Jade....yes he's still deployed. You know I can't give dates because of OPSEC but I can tell you he'll be back very soon (finally...after 13+ months!!!).

Hey Jomo's girl, we got expedited based on deployment millitary critera. It's been posted several times on the board, here and in yardie threads. There's a lot going on so you didn't notice.

Thanks again!

wow..congrats JamericanLove fantastic...i bet now everyone wants to be in the army..hehehe

Thank you.

But no they don't...believe me. Sounds easy, but it's not. My husband has been injured in combat (thank God he's still with us), suffered 2nd degree burns to his hand in an explosion for which he has a disfigurement that he'll have to live with for the rest of his life as well as a pinched nerve that he'll have to start physical therapy for as soon as he gets back. They treated and bandaged that mangled hand and sent him right back out the following day. Add to that constant 120+ degree heat, dealing with roadside bombs, seeing your peers killed, people shooting at you in the day and mortaring you while you sleep. Icing on the cake, not seeing your significant other for a year or being able to even talk to them when you want.....

I wish all the best and fastest processing for everyone in their journey to be with their loved ones. If they've cried as many tears as I have I truly feel their pain.

Sorry if I sound emotional, but it's because I am. :crying:
