Just wondering, we still haven't gotten to NVC yet and with all these approvals going :star: on wondering if they're backed up???

So if you can share how long to get there and which step you're on and perhaps this can help others in the same situation. With all the shortcuts and things I still find I have questions.

NVC must be backed up. I've been trying to contact them since last few days and finally got through today. I spoke to an operator regarding my ds3032 and aos package. The e-mailed ds3032 has not been accepted since August 1st. The hard copy has been delivered today but ds3032 or aos has not been entered in the system. The operator also stated that give it 4 to 6 weeks for them to open the mail and review the information as they receive millions of mail a day so it will take time. She also stated that try calling back in another 5 days for status.

I have been looking all morning for someone who has recently went through the NVC. We got our approval last week and are waiting to hear from NVC now. I called to check this morning to see if they have our case, and nothing. Does anyone know how often they update the recordings? Also, I am seeing a couple of people being processed through the NVC at 30 to 40 days, is this the trend right now?

We flew through the NVC even with a RFE...through all the online bill pay, etc. etc....and case was completed on June 26...but still no interview date in Amman yet.....

It was all hurry up and wait. Now almost 2 months since we were done at NVC and no interview date in site yet.......

My advice is to relax...once you are finished and case is complete at NVC you may have to pull more patience out of the bag than you have needed through the entire process so far.....

My mood...at this point...extremely frustrated!!! My husband and I wanted to get married again on the same date one year later, October 29...but the way its going now...he will not be here on October 29.

Deb,

Thanks for the advice. We thought it could be 4 or 5 months to get through the NVC so this is really good news for us. We will be going through the Cairo embassy, and there are not very many poeple that can say good things about their experience with Cairo.

We know we still have a lot of waiting to do, but this week we are happy to know that we went from 4 or 5 months at NVC to 1 or 2.

At this point, every day counts.

Good luck with your process, I hope you get your interview soon....

Hi Rajaa,

My petition arrived at NVC on 7/29 in six days after approval by CSC. The AOS fee invoice and ds3032 were generated on 8/4. I paid online on 8/1 before the generation of the AOS fee bill but luckily the payment went through on 8/5. My husband had emailed ds3032 on 8/1 and then again on 8/5 with auto response both times. I had also mailed the hard copy on 8/13 since I didn't hear anything about the email acceptance from NVC. NVC received the hard copy on 8/14. On 8/15, I received an email response from NVC that they have accepted the request for the Choice of Agent. My AOS package was sent express mail on 8/11 and did not reach NVC until 8/15 as it was delivered to the wrong post office in NH and yes I used the correct address. I had to contact the Consumer Affairs for USPS in NH to track down the package. Currently, the AVR states that the ds3032 has been received and wait 6-8 weeks for further instructions. The online IV Bill states 'Not Paid' and I could've gone on step ahead and paid on Friday but I'll wait until the bill gets generated..hopefully by Monday. I wish I could've sent the hard copy of the ds3032 as soon as it was possible but I didn't receive the signed form from my husband until 8/12.

My advice....When your case reaches NVC and the AOS fee bill and ds3032 have been generated, email the ds3032 and also express mail in the hard copy the same day if possible. Your hard copy will be accepted sooner than the email. It took them 13 days to accept mine and I think that is because they received the hard copy as well. I'm certain your petition will arrive at NVC sometime next week. Good luck!

Hey! We just finished up at NVC. Timeline in my signature. It took us 44 days from case received to case completed.

We emailed the DS-3032 only 2 days after the case was received according to the automated message. Now, looking back, that wasn't probably the smartest thing, but thankfully in our case, it worked out fine and the DS-3032 was entered in the system about a week later.

We didn't move as fast as we could because I was traveling between the US and Mexico, but we paid our AOS fee and IV fee online the day after each was generated, took a couple extra days to mail the 1-864, and took about a week extra to mail the DS-230, got an RFE for the I-864, then had about a week where operators on the phone at NVC couldn't figure out where our paperwork was. Then we got the "case complete" automated message today. So even with an RFE and extra complications, you can be done in fewer than 6 weeks using express mail + James' shortcut (and I used Loto's shortcut because it's nice and easy to follow).

Long story short, we have a complicated case. We've been at this for nearly 5 years. You can read our story here. I highly recommend our attorney Laurel Scott, as well as attorneys Laura Fernandez and Lizz Cannon .

Filed I-130 via CSC in Feb 2008. Petition approved June 2008. Consular interview in Mexico, Oct 2008, visa denied, INA 212a6cii. We allege improper application of the law in this case.

2012, started over in Seoul: I-130 filed DCF on 7/2, I-130 approved 8/8, Medical at Yonsei Severance 11/20, IR1 appointment in November 2012.

CRBA filed 1-3-13 at Seoul for our daughter
