You can also do an extensive timeline search for people living in New York who have filed their N-400 recently. That should give you an idea if they filled out their timelines that is.

That's why we kee saying :time:

Thank you guys for support.

Interesting, your guy is getting USC before marriage or at least applying for it, quite a contrast with all the other threads posted here. Assume he is going for the five year that requires a lot less proof. Have to read about that for my daughter that wasn't thinking by turning 18 before the USCIS got around to us. Know now we have to keep track of her visits outside of the USA and employment history, unless she plans on moving out of here, the address will be real easy. And how many days have you spent outside of the USA in the last five years should be also be easy. It will be five years.

You gotta help me out with that now :)

Well he is a permanent resident his whole life and his father is citizen. He wants to become citizen anyways, because he needs a passport and that stuff.

I wouldnt know another way how to do it ?

He never left the states his entire life, so he will be fine...

So it means that if he was constantly 5 years in the States, it will speed up the process ?

Nope he is the American one lol ..came into the states as an 3 year old.

I am in germany right now.

But I was thinking about me with two citizens once I become US ..

But thats faaar away

I am getting the idea, as a lawful permanent resident, he can marry you and bring you here, but should go much quicker if he is a US citizen. So he was playing around with it since he was eight years old assuming the five year wait, but now met you and is now motivated to move ahead.

I really have no idea which route is quicker, to bring you here as a LPR, or to wait as a USC, there is different sections of this board that cover stuff like this. As a born USC, took me about a year to bring my bride here, but hear things are moving quicker now. Except for getting that oath letter for my wife. Had to put in a brand new mailbox this morning, some drunk hit it last night, but that didn't work either for getting that letter. Maybe tomorrow.

You got me interest in myself, June 2003 is when I first contacted an attorney after looking over the forms, ha, wanted to be romantic and interesting to my bride to be rather than dull or boring. Since I was calling her every night, wasn't good to be romantic either, we would end up crawling up the walls, so informed her on that dull immigration process, that bored her to sleep, me as well.

Feel the USCIS should take into account the average life span of a human being in their processing times, we were young when all this started, now we are old. And to think, just over a month ago, my wife was sitting in the interviewer's office, trying to convince her that we are still married. Ha, my wife should have asked this new interviewer what happened to that young one that was asking the same questions in our first visit. Probably old and retired by now.

Still can't believe my wife is finally here, a joy to see her smile in the morning, but when I pick her up from work tonight, she will ask me if that oath letter came in today, will respond, maybe tomorrow.

You can read the Marriage Based Immigration (K1, K2, K3, etc) to the USA section of this board for help. But not good to read the Effects of Major Family Changes on Immigration Benefits section, kind of depressing that things go wrong.
