How does gun-running not violate every precedent for securing immigration benefits (not to mention that the guy entered the country illegally to begin with).

It's all politics. We coddle terrorists like the Kosovars and then we go to war against them in Afghanistan.

I'm surprised that the US would tolerates this though.... DHS deports pregnant women, incarcerates people with terminal illnesses, but seemingly does nothing to a naturalised USC who entered as an illegal alien and provided material support to a paramilitary group.

It boggles the mind.

While on the surface, it APPEARS this way, it DOES go alot deeper than this.

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

I'm sure it does. Nevertheless its surprising that a private citizen could get away with supplying guns to a paramilitary group engaged in guerila fighting.

I KNOW it's safe to say he was never a PRIVATE citizen. All I am going to say is that the Govt "tolerates" nothing it does not want to tolerate. Read into that what you will.

I don't doubt someone like that (much like the mafia) has influence with figures in the government. Clearly he wouldn't have gotten away with it otherwise.

If this guy smuggled weapons out of the US, why is he still in the country?

I thought Homeland Security could strip someone of their immigration privileges (including naturalised citizenship) if it turned out that they'd lied or provided false information on an earlier application.

An illegal alien!!!! Heeeeeeeeeeell no!! Now I'm really mad!

The activities of this terrorist organization on the ground, in Kosovo, provided NATO and the US with the pretext to intervene on humanitarian grounds, claiming that the Serb authorities had committed human rights violations against ethnic Albanians, when in fact the NATO sponsored KLA was involved in terrorist acts on behalf of NATO, which triggered a response from the Serb police and military.

very interesting

Well that was sarcasm.

Yeah the guy probably, just probably, should have been deported instantly given his criminal gun running habit.
