I mailed my the application for the I-751 last Thursday. We are still waiting for the NOA to arrive. Yesterday, my husband showed me his dutch passport and it showed that it would be expiring in 5 weeks. I called the Dutch Embassy and they told us they could renew it for us. We went up to the Embassy and they took the old passport to mail back to Holland so they could process a new one for him. They said it would be between2-3 weeks before he got the new one mailed to him. Is it going to be a problem while we wait for the NOA to be processed? I'm so stressed out over this:((

I don't think so, I would assume he needs the passport when he goes to get a new stamp; and certainly when the new visa is issued. Don't panic my friend. ---- although you could get an RFE with the NOA1 requiring proof of a passport that is not expired.
