Relationship evidence question

Hey folks, I have been studying the posts and sorting/searching through endless threads of great info. However, I noticed that it seems as though most people are providing more evidence of a relationship than I am (or at least thats how it looks). I made up a powerpoint presentation of how we met, our engagement and numerous photos of our meetings up to that point. We have now met 5 times and have numerous photos as evidence. I was thinking that would suffice, but I see many people including chats, emails and phone records. Should I be including this stuff too? If so, is there a way to condense it? We have almost 2 years of chats/emails and Im quite sure I would need at least a couple ink refills for my printer to print them all. Somehow I dont think the interviewer will have the time or the patience to puruse through all of that. Also, I think we have spoke on the phone maybe a few times and we send a txt here and there so I really dont see the point in including any phone records.

Ideas?

There is no standard template. You simply paint the picture of your relationship that you want to portray... Your individual facts are different than everyone elses, so put the information together that you think demonstrates your relationship with your fiancee...

YMMV

In the first step, which is proving you have met within the last two years, and explaining the circumstances under which you met, items like boarding passes, itineraries, and passport stamps are your primary evidence that you met. Secondary evidence is photos. Evidence of a bona fide relationship, such as e-mails, letters, follow on meetings/trips, are necessary for the interview at the consulate. You don't need all e-mails, but samples, showing the period over which you have been corresponding. One or two near the beginning, some in the middle, and some of your more recent.

You're right that you don't want to overload the CIS adjudicator or the CO at the consulate, but you need to feel confident that you have provided enough.

Hey thanks for the input I will definetly include some sample emails like you suggested. We have 100s (literaly) of photos together so Im not worried about that. I think maybe Im getting the last minute jitters. I have read the pre-interview instructions and what documents to bring. Any suggestions on documents that are not listed but might be helpful to bring?

Definately include the emails, chats and phone records but as you are concerned that since you have almost 2 years worth and the interviewer may not have the patience. I would select emails, chats and phone records maybe one or two from each month or select some from the begining of your courtship and then some from the middle of the courtship and then that most current so you can cover the lenght of time you have been dating and condense the amount of documentation you present.

If you read some of the discussions on the subject, we won't need to rehash them here yet again. Prove you met in person in the last two years and if there are any red flag issues in your relationship, like recent divorces or only one short meeting, or introduced by family etc. Bring them up here for recommendations on how to deal with them in your initial petition filing. Otherwise, hold the bona fide ongoing relationship evidence for the interview.

PUSHBRK....

Well, the petition has been approved and we are at the interview stage, I guess thats what I am asking. I have read other posts you have responded to, but it seemed as though most of them were dealing with the initial petition to USCIS. I am speaking exclusively towards the interview. I felt that the photos and the info I submitted from the beginning would suffice, but after reading about others submitting emails, chats, phone calls, etc I feel as though I am a bit underprepared.

If you think you are underprepared (based on what you said you have already compiled) then you would hate to see the package my now wife had.... Granted it is a different consulate but she did not have half what you already have put together....

Again, what you present is your story of your relationship... You present it in the best way you can.... The CO is not expecting every type of potential evidence to be included. The CO simply needs to be able to make a decision. Proof of 5 previous visits would be a pretty damm convincing start...

YMMV

You did not point this out in your initial post, and you have not filled out a timeline, so we were assuming you had not filed your I-129F yet.

The evidence you provide at this point will still consist of boarding passes, passport stamps, photos, phone records, e-mails, etc.

You don't need to include every single e-mail, but rather a sampling, as I stated earlier. You don't need to include every phone bill, but once again, a broad sampling, to show that the relationship has been an ongoing one. You don't need to provide a photo album of pictures, but rather 4 to 6 photos showing the two of you together in different locations.

Just like fwaguy, we didn't submit an overabundance of evidence either. Just enough to show that our relationship was genuine.

Yes, I didn't check your timeline and thought you were at the petition stage. Examples of communication backed up by logs to show frequency will help reduce the paper volumn.

The way I did it was to position the information on my computer screen as conveniently as possible, then hit the PrtSc button and paste the picture in Word. It's a bit tedious but it works just fine.

We took photos, letters, emails, cards but at the interview they didn't ask to see any of it. I think it is because since November I had been to England 3 times and he had been to the US 3 times. I think that showed evidence of a continuing relationship. But best to take some of the other items just in case. Good Luck!!!
