Everybody knows that the majority of any processs is waiting (esp when it comes to visas). I am a pretty patient person but I find myself being very anxious through this whole thing. I don't know if it's the excitement of it all, just wanting to be with my hubby or whatever else but it seems like I'm constantly holding my breath.

Anyone else feel this way sometimes?

The waiting continues....

I guess you are not as patient as some of us. Multiply your wait time times 7 or 10. And thats just waiting for I-130 approval. Without doing anything BUT WAITING!

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

Yes! The further along we get in this process the more anxious I get. I can't stay focused on work for very long and i'm dreaming of NVC forms at night. Some days are harder than others, and none of them are easy.

But, I'm hopeful that all of this will end soon!

I'm sorry, maybe you misread. I am asking about anxiety from waiting and how everyone handles it. I wasn't comparing myself to anyone, so please take a moment to be at peace.

Miss Rowe, I know it's getting closer. Thanks for the words of encouragement, but seriously if a person suffers from anxiety issues, this can be a very taxing situation. I can even see this affecting some peoples health. I've seen people waiting in excess of 2 years for spousal visas...that's crazy.

 Tell me about it. I thought I was the only one having these issues. Oh boy....I think that is a reason I don't get how people can break up after going through all of this. It's like running a triathalon and then rejecting the trophy at the end of it all.

Please.....Let me clear up a few things.

I have not been waiting long. I've been on this journey offically since June 9th, 2008. Just over 2 months. Not long at all. However, it took over 6 months just to get the paperwork together because my husband is in Iraq and can't just do his own personal business when he feels like. Also, sometimes mail going between us has taken 6 weeks each way.

This is not the point of my orginial post however. I suffer from mid-level anxiety and I find my symptoms (chest pain, headaches and lack of appetite) more obvious since we started the process, brought on my the waiting and uncertainty. I just wanted to know if anyone else has these issues, not to start anything.

So please...let's stop this now.

Thank you Loto, you are a great support on this board, but you have me confused with someone else. Mind you I have been on here long before my papers got sent (for reasons stated above), maybe that's why :)

anxiety and despair are key words i would use to describe how i am feeling

we waited nearly a year to finally receive a K3 visa in our hand

when we finally received K3, the interview packet for CR1 visa came the same exact day, HOW CAN THAT HAPPEN

now forced with taking K3 or moving on with CR1, the attorney advised waiting out the CR1

now it's been 3 months since the CR1 interview and we are in AP

the black hole is getting blacker and kicking ourselves for forgoing the K3

now we dont know if or when he will get CR1 visa in hand

the part that scares me is that what I see is people just waiting indefinitely

you could get yours in a matter of days or as long as years

it is so unfair and it does take it's toll

i am praying everyday

good luck to all still waiting like we are

Oh my goodness....now this is what I am talking about. You've been through a lot and I can't imagine how you are coping. I really hope that very soon something happens with your case. Can you contact your senators office? That is outrageous!
