Hello everyone,

I noticed that some people here are able to find out when their NOA1 was put into the USCIS database before they actually receive that document in the mail. How can I find this information out? When I go to USCIS website, it says you need a case number before you can track an application. I'm hoping someone can share some info with me. Thanks all!!

If you sent your payment by check, you can get a copy of the cleared check from the bank. Many banks have this possibility available online. On the back of the check, they print your USCIS case number. This number only works once your case has been entered into the system on USCIS, which sometimes takes awhile...

Long story short, we have a complicated case. We've been at this for nearly 5 years. You can read our story here. I highly recommend our attorney Laurel Scott, as well as attorneys Laura Fernandez and Lizz Cannon .

Filed I-130 via CSC in Feb 2008. Petition approved June 2008. Consular interview in Mexico, Oct 2008, visa denied, INA 212a6cii. We allege improper application of the law in this case.

2012, started over in Seoul: I-130 filed DCF on 7/2, I-130 approved 8/8, Medical at Yonsei Severance 11/20, IR1 appointment in November 2012.

CRBA filed 1-3-13 at Seoul for our daughter

Create an account in the USCIS website and then enter the receipt number (that can be found in NOA1) in your account for you to be able to track your case.

Good Luck! :star:

Good info everybody, but jamster was trying to sign up on USCIS and was wondering how people know their case number before getting the NOA1. Any other ideas besides looking at the cleared check?

Oopps sorry. I didn't read the post carefully.

There's no way to find out the case number but to wait for the notice and if you can't wait for the notice try calling USCIS. It's free to call there.

hey you got nice pics on picasa. Goodluck and God bless.
