Swimming sensation Michael Phelps has an Olympic recipe for success - and it involves eating a staggering 12,000 calories a day.

"Eat, sleep and swim. That's all I can do," Phelps, who won two more gold medals today, told NBC when asked what he needs to win medals.

I guess because the carbs are pure energy. His body probably burns it before it even hits hits stomach. Must be nice...

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

He's carbo-loading. He seems to be getting some veggies from the lettuce, tomatoes, and onion on the sandwiches...also getting lots of tomatoes from the pasta sauce. But yes, his diet is somewhat lacking in fiber.

At one time, I used to do water aerobics for 4 hours a day when I was unemployed. I was burning like 4000 calories a day and I was only consuming about 1,800 calories - if that. I was dropping the LBs like they were nobody's business!

<sigh> How I long for those days.

He's been doing this for years and has a clean bill of health. The amount of calories professional athletes burn is unbelievable. Well, except for baseball players.

I bet he poops like a mothafu...

 doesn't pasta (made from wheat flour) contain fibre?

I doubt he will get fat when he retires. Mark Spitz still looks pretty fit. I assume this is his training/competition diet which is going to be carbohydrate loaded. He has to get the calories without too much bulk. Imagine trying to eat that many calories from say lettuce? He'd be eating forever!

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .
