it's been a while since my last post. My fiancee went for her interview in Guangzhou yesterday but got a blue slip :(

She was asked to supply her resume, her plans for working once she arrives in the us, and her travel history to the us although she has never been to the us!!

But what's more intriguing is that they didn't even take the I-134 affidavit of support form from her. I tried to call the consulate in guangzhou to see if it was a mistake on their part for not taking in the I-134 form, but got kicked around a few times without any success.

Does anyone happen to know a number that would work? I am just worried about how she will be able to give them the I-134 form.

Just follow the instructions on the blue slip. If they didn't ask for the I-134, they aren't concerned about her being a public charge. I've seen many get K1 and K3 visas while never being asked for the I-134. There is no number to call that will get you through to anything but a call center in Shanghai. Email is the best option for contacting the Consulate directly. Use the link on their website.

If she's never traveled to the US, simply say so. They are asking for her resume because her education and/or occupation indicates she could be doing security sensitive work or they are concerned she's a Communist Party member or both.

Thanks pushbrk! That makes a lot sense. She does not belong to any party - is there a need to specifically say so in her resume?
