hi guys,

my wife is trying to gather all the documents so we can be ready in advance for the DS-230...having said that, does anyone know what the validity of the police certificates is...how old of these certificates are they going to accept...so basically if i get them now and my case is adjudicated in dec-jan, will these certificates still be valid??

I know in the case of Peru that these documents are only valid for about 3 months. I think it depends on the country.

2009-04-08 : POE Atlanta (256 days from sending I-130)

I know in the case of Peru that these documents are only valid for about 3 months. I think it depends on the country.

What about in Iran. Department of state clearly said that they don't accept any police certification from Iranian governments. Do we still have to optain this?

According to Mumbai Consulate website it is valid for 1 Year. Check out with your respective consulate website too if its other than Mumbai....

According to Mumbai Consulate website it is valid for 1 Year. Check out with your respective consulate website too if its other than Mumbai....

I somehow thought its valid for 6 months in India, but anyways glad to know its 1 year, really gives a lot of time for others who are still waiting for NOA-2 to be prepared for the NVC beforehand.

That's strange Bani!

On our Ahmedabad Regional PCC there is no such mention of validity.....

I guess urs was from Ahmedabad as well... correct?
