No hotel receipts

Hello, When I visit my girlfriend in Thailand, I stay with her - we do not get a hotel. So, I do not have any hotel receipts to show/present when/if I finally file for a K1 visa. Is this going to be a problem? How else can I prove that I have spent time with her in Thailand? Will they accept this explanation?

Thanks!

Photos of you with her family are a plus. There are a lot of people here who've gone through Bangkok without legal help. I am a legal dummy and still helped my kids effectively (thanks VJ)! It helps to pay close attention to the directions for the USCIS forms and directions from the Dept of State. If you're good with attention to detail and paperwork and have a simple case, you are good to go. If not, hand it off to someone else. We bought a book first, not discovering VJ until after being in the process for a couple of months. Good luck.

If you can read and follow instructions, ask questions when necessary, and your case is straight forward (no criminal records, solid finances, etc) then you don't need a lawyer. Follow msu17's advice; don't lie or enhance the truth. Most any error can be corrected (most of the time it results in an "RFE" - request for evidence - when something is omitted).

Having been here on VJ a few years, it appears there are just as many, if not more, errors made when a lawyer files for someone. When you do it yourself, you tend to double/triple check everything. Many lawyers do not, especially if they know the mistake will not be fatal to your petition.

Best of luck!
