today is really my confusing day... after i called NVC and they told me that they havent received my petition ( 19days) i called the famous USCIS center in California, and the lady told me very passionatly "maaam, its written here, after the I-129f has been aprooved, the center will send it directly to the us consulate of the country from fiancee" "am sorry maaam, i dont have access to ur file but, thats the way it is,u have to contact ur embassy, maaaaam..."

:blink::wacko::blink:

now am totaly lost... everybody here inside gets infos form NVC that their petition has been reveiced, in every site its written, but, no, the lady told me another story.. well, it would be t least a hope more, but, i dont know, somehow i dont beleive it. i had really to be very stuborn with her, that at least i could give her my receipt number... seems they wont to do or help as less as possible... but, on the end now, am not more clever then before, quite the opposite :(

That's interesting.

People on VJ have reported the NVC has never confirmed their petition and suddenly the Beneficiary in the foreign country get packet 3 or some kind of notice or both get a notice the petition's at the embassy.

I think possibly, even though the SC probably doesn't have a clue if they're the helpless desk because they're reading from a script they're provided and have absolutely no insight into the process, some do get sent or could get sent to the embassy directly.

Does your NOA2 have a number above the fiance)e)'s name and the number is preceeded by the letter "A"?

Mine does and I wonder if that's an assigned, THE infamous "A" number.

Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of man! Only the Shadow!!

Seriously ... I called last night after reading someone with our exact NOA2 date called and they were in the system.

Why aren't we???? :(

God, i just dont know i DONT KNOW...everything is so confusing, and i beleive as more somebody go into it as more it confuses.. maybee i should just forget to worry and go on... and try beeing optimistic..(joke of the day..) i will ask my fiance in us, if he got this A number in top of his NOA2. i guess themself they have no single clue whats going on... some they send immediatly, so they send whenever they see them after a wile still on somebodys desk, some might be forgotten, and some, maybee go into the trash.... no system, no order, no manager who controls anybody, no nothing. i asked the "maaam" lady, so what i do, if its lost on the way? nobody will ever tell me if it left the service center, if it riched the visa center... and if i call after 1 year, still nobody will know anything... wow.. the lady couldnt give me no answer anymore... :(

goldie,

Once upon a time it worked that way, but since a couple of years ago all approved petitions have been funneled through the NVC.

Did you really call the California Service Center, or did you actually call the National Customer [Dis]Service Center (wherever that is - I think there may actually be two sites).

People on VJ have reported the NVC has never confirmed their petition and suddenly the Beneficiary in the foreign country get packet 3 or some kind of notice or both get a notice the petition's at the embassy.

Because for K-1 petitions, NVC just kinda skims on through (there have been some exceptions to this, but this is generally the case). When we were waiting for our petition to make its way through to the embassy, we were told to wait at least 2 weeks from our NOA2 date before bugging NVC. For kicks, we called on day 11, and were told "it's arrived, and being sent out today to Montreal". If we had waited until the 2 weeks or so, we would have had package 3 in hand by then, before even knowing it had already went through NVC.

I think possibly, even though the SC probably doesn't have a clue if they're the helpless desk because they're reading from a script they're provided and have absolutely no insight into the process, some do get sent or could get sent to the embassy directly.

you are correct, the USCIS 1-800 number is staffed by a sub-contracted call centre, whose employees are reading off a screen, and are trained up to a point. But no, the petitions are sent to NVC by the district centres, and are then separated into consulate piles, or "we have to deal with them" piles (like the I-130 applicants, for example).

Seriously ... I called last night after reading someone with our exact NOA2 date called and they were in the system.

Why aren't we???? :(

because your petition is one of thousands, my dear. :)

I also wondered if it was the A number. It certainly looks like it and I used to see alot of A numbers because I had to run SAVE on non-citizens in my line of work.

i asked my fiance and he told me, no, he got no number written on the NOA2. so no "famous A nr".

and yes, i checked again, and the number i acctually called, and which was written on the NOA1 together with the address of the CSC, is matching with the number of the national service center. wow. seems california got no number at all to call direct. nice. and, for sure, this woman on the phone service have absolutley no clue what is going on. wonder what for they are employed. no more help then the automated phone service!. oh, well, u have the chance of waiting min. half hour on phone and talk to a real life person!!

so, theoretically, somebody can call for month every day, and all what they will do is repeating the same, "am sorry maaam, we havent got it yet, please allow us.. blabla bla." grate system!
