On August 12, 2008, we transferred this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER location for processing because they now have jurisdiction over the case. We sent you a notice of this transfer. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. What does this mean,I got a previous notice on 19th of june that our I-1485 has been transfered my case to california,we are k-3 visa and now they are sending us another notice of transfer,pls can someone enlighten us what dis could mean?

My question is why are they sending our case back to national benefit center/has anyone experience this before?And what are our expectations/

Pleae any suggestion would be appreciated.my husband has already gotten his EAD on the 29th Aug2008.

HI there. Looks like they transferred your husband's case to the local office near you. ANd given that your husband is under k3, its a high possibility for you guys to receive an interview letter. This is not experienced by me but if you would read around in the forums some k3 were interviewed, so even if they were transfered to CSC, CSC will then transfer them to the local office near you which an interview will most likely be held. Just me :blush: ANyways Good luck and God bless :thumbs:

It means the lockbox received your case and sent it on to NBC, as per the usual procedure.

It means the lockbox received your case and sent it on to NBC, as per the usual procedure.

OP said that it was already transferred to Cali on june 19th assuming thats from NBC to CSC? Its send back again to the NBC from CSC? THen the their :wacko: I thought from CSC their case was send to local office as to some cases in here where in they were already transferred to CSC then again transferred out of CSC to their local office to most likely have an interview :unsure::whistle:

CSC sent it back to the NBC. It will be forwarded to your local field office. You will receive a notice for an interview. K1s are likely to go to CSC and get approved without an interview. Not K3s.

05/13/2009 - AOS Interview - APPROVED!/ Card production ordered email

05/18/2009 - Welcome Letter received

06/12/2009 - Second card production ordered email

06/19/2009 - Approval notice send email

06/22/2009 - Green Card received

04/09/2012 - Applied for Citizenship by Express Mailing N400 to NBC

04/10/2012 - N400 received by USCIS

06/23/2012 - Biometrics appointment

07/27/2012 - Appointment scheduled for N400 interview

09/05/2012 - Interview passed, oath ceremony completed, and Naturalization certificate received.

We just got the same notice today! We are not K1 or K3. My hubby was and F1.

Has anybody else gone through this before getting their greencard? How long

before it get transferred to a local offic and an interview date?

You were first transferred to CSC as an F1?
