Yet another Police Certificate question

I went for my clearance certificate today, but when I got it home and compared it to information found here, I realized it does not specifically state "that CPIC or the national criminal records repository was searched using your name and date of birth". Instead it simply states "This confirms that a Canada wide search of the following information has been processed on (my info)", followed by results, declaration, date, and signatures of course. Does anyone know from experience if this is acceptable, or will I need to haul myself across the region to the RCMP office for one of their certificates?

It should be OK as long as you have no criminal convictions. Mom's police certificate from Peel Regional Police was similar to what you have and there was no problem.

In my experience, don't be surprised if you get an RFE, then call the NVC immediately and request that a supervisor take a look at your packet.

That's what I did (with my "better than requested" police certificate), and HOPEFULLY, someone at NVC grows a brain and realizes that it's ok.

Best of luck.

No offense, but your experience is with a different country. :) As long as Canadians have the Canada-wide clearance and have no prior convictions then that's all that's required.
