Hello Everyone,

What is the best way to send documents to the Philippines ?

I hear horror stories about the postal service there....what have you used that seem to be reliable in service, UPS, DHL, any other?

When sending from outside countries like US..

Keep in mind...I am not sending to a major city like Manila or Cebu but a village in the provinces..(lucky me...LOL)

Thanks....

I sent Riza documents using DHL, and they actually delivered a day earlier than they said they would.

i have sent through fedex, dhl and ups. dhl screwed up so the delivery was late. ups was on time and so was fedex. if you want complete tracking, and i mean complete to the point of delivery of the package to its final destination, go with fedex. although fedex is the most expensive, its also the best... at least for me.

Hi,

My fiance lives on Mindanao, small town in Zamboanga Sibugay province. I used DHL for the important docs and had no problem. Arrived in less than a week and all was well. When she shipped to me she used LBC (I think that is the name) but it arrived in a UPS outer envelope. One thing I used a lot is scan to email. Anything that does not need to be an original I scanned to her email and she printed it there. I used the one at work but Fedex Kinkos probably has the capabilitiy.

Hope this helps.

I sent important document for I-129F to my fiance using Fedex, he received it 3 days after.

When it was my fiance's turn to send the needed documents for interview, he also used FedEx, I received it 4 days after the indicated shipping date (probably due to time zone difference)... I live in Tagum, a small city 55Kms north of Davao City, Mindanao.

I didn't like the attitude of some of the FedEx staff @ FedEx Davao main office (the girl who answered the phone when I called and also the guy who delivered the package) but then I won't take it against the whole FedEx company coz the other FedEx people I have come in contact with had been very pleasant to deal with.

I used USPS Global Express for everything and didn't have any problems 5 different times. One was even a laptop!! Guess I was lucky as I've heard others weren't. Other stuff I sent not via Global Express but by USPS wasn't that lucky. Wasn't that important tho.

Just sent a USPS 4 pound Global Express small box yesterday. Cost was $43 US. Ouch!!!

I always used DHL because I haven't had any problems. LBC in the Phils used DHL here to to deliver the package to the US.

Postal Service in the Phils? Well once I got a Valentines card delivered on Valentines day, I think it must have been the red envelope. I mailed it weeks early so it would get there before Valentines Day. Sadly, most other letters never made it...
