Hello VJs

The letter states that within a week the I-129F filed for my spouse will be forwarded to visa-issuing post overseas (mumbai india). It also states that my spouse will recieve a packet from the consular in India on how to apply for K3.

My question is....

What packet would this be (1,2,3,4)...I am not sure how everyone is # the packet?

What is the next step?

What documents will be required?

How long does it take for my wife to get the packet from India consult?

How long does it take now until the visa date?

Will the interview date also be assigned when the packet is mailed out or will it be at a later date?

Thanks for any help I can get...if you gone through this process please explain and try to answer my questions I would really apprecaite, once again thanks for any and all the help.

Since you're going for a K3 visa, your spouse should be receiving packet 3. I believe you can download it from the US Embassy in Mumbai web site: http://mumbai.usconsulate.gov/faq_appnt.html. It should list all the documents your SO needs to get.

Thank you so much again for replying. It was really helpful just want to know how the rest of the process is for those who have done this step or gone through Mumbai embassy.
