So, let's agree that these people were 'innocent' by which we mean presumably that they had no direct part to play in a conflict. Does that mean that for each innocent American life we need to exact revenge on an innocent native of Iraq? Or, does that mean that it's open season on 'innocent' passers by? What exactly are you saying with that comment?

Either we accept that civillians are all innocent and each death of a civillian is an unwanted tragedy no matter what country they happen to be civillians of, or we forget the notion of civillians and innocense and just label everyone who gets killed as part of some conflict as collateral damage.

Yes, well it's back to my original point many moons ago. We either want a world standard of decent behaviour and we all abide by it (and try to get those who haven't signed up for it to do so) or we just forget that notion and accept that it's the survival of the fittest and you had better get yourself a bloody big gun if you want to survive.

Many of the tragedies in the world today are down to the fact that we have 'allowed' the human population to explode to a point that the earth really can't sustain. It's a sad situation and left unadressed it will just get worse with more and more people at the bottom of the heap being trodden on by those of us who are at the top.

I don't think this was a LET DOWN! Don't judge the military for their actions or non actions. You are not out there, you don't know what it's like to be out there, not saying I do either, but I know plenty of people who have and it's not pretty. I have heard first hand accounts of what goes on out there. The footage in question is not exactly pretty, but their first and foremost responsibility is to protect themselves, going out there to warn her would have put themselves in danger, and if they had tried to yell at her, she wouldn't have paid no mind anyway. They did what they could do, and she didn't get killed either, so why even post something like this. There's no purpose to this at all. We should be supporting our troops not doggin' them or judging them for what they do. Keep in mind it's a war zone. It would be interesting to see what you would have done out there had it been you.
