I am currently going through the k1 visa application which I got my NOA1 on June 3rd 08. I have moved address here in Scotland and moved back in with my parents whilst the process is ongoing to save more money. When I went onto the USCIS website in order to change my address it asked me for an A number? can anyone explain what the A number is please.

Also when trying to notify the USCIS of my change of address it asks for my current and previous addresses but only gives the option for a US state and zipcode and doesn't allow me to input a UK address.

Can anyone who has done this before please advise the best way to go about notifying the USCIS of my chage of address in Scotland, UK whilst my K1 visa application is ongoing. Can you do it online ok or do you suggest calling them?

Many thanks,

Stuart :)

The A number is on the NOA...(Alien Number) -- it will be used throughout the process. A change in address must be done by the petitioner...

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Do you recommend I contact them by phone from Scotland and seek guidance from them?

Stuart :)

If it were me, I would wait until the petition has been approved and the file has been sent to the consulate and then change your address with them.

I could be mistaken but I think the A number comes with the second NOA not the first.
