I am a bit worried because the name of the place (town) where my fiance lives is misspelled in my visa. The GAINESVILLE is misspelled into GAINSVILLE. I am all set to leave on September 1st. I just noticed and realized that it is really misspelled not until my fiance told me when I sent him a scanned copy of my visa. With so much regret because I just did it yesterday. Had I done it earlier, I could have it corrected and be changed. :crying:

I just want to be reassured if it is a right thing to do that I will no longer have my visa be corrected with that wrong entry. From my point of view, it's not a big deal because it is not our names or the important numbers that have errors. I have short time left before the date of my departure. Will it not cause me trouble on my day of departure? What is the best thing to do? :help:

Yes same here. I feel the same way because it's just a place. If I will call the USEM, I am concern on the possibility, what if they will ask/request me to send my passport/visa back to USEM? I already have some ideas on the efficiency of Delbros delivery service. I am planning not to inform the USEM anymore. I will just pretend I did not notice it. :innocent:

Hi there :). I also had a spelling error on the of town of my husband. It was supposed to be HARPE and it was printed as HARTE. What I did was to go back to USEM and referred to them the error. I forgot the number of the window that does the correction but it was that small window beside the window where the fingerprinting is done.I was told that it was a minimal error and they said it will not be a problem because the Immigration Officer on my POE will verify it in their system and comparing it to the data inside the brown packet it will show them the correct name of the town. They gave back to me my passport and didn't made any correction. I didn't had any problem about it on my POE.Hope this helps. Good luck and have a safe trip :star:

Hello KC♥MP! Your testimony relieves me from the worries. Thank you very much. So, I think it is just OK to ignore the small discrepancy of my visa. Anyway, I also have the brown envelope which contains the supporting documents. And for sure they have the database that will further verify it. That sounds more logical. The town of my fiance is the only one with that name in that particular state. Maraming salamat po :star:

When I had my visa last year it has no JR. in my fiance/husband's name so I went to window 34 and asked the girl about it and she said it was okay without it . Yours is fine I am sure. God bless you on your trip coming here. Welcome to USA very soon.
