Oh wow Jackie!! Congrats!! I just got back from being with Hassan in Kuwait and I'm happy to see this wonderful news!!

I think Hassan and I are frozen also on our next steps in the process. As you know he is already approved for his k3 visa but we have decided to go ahead and have them transfer his approved I130 to the embassy in Kuwait and go ahead and try for the IR1 visa since Hassan and I will be married for 2 years already in October. It is just hard for him to get away from his work right now to do the AOS in the United States. He wants to finish out his contract with the company he works for now. He just got a promotion and a pay raise!!

I hope to see more good news coming from you Jackie, you deserve it!! (F)

Ok, tax transcripts ordered....I made a list of the steps...lulu..can you talk to Ibrahim? He needs clarification on what he needs to do on his end.

My buddy Hani...he had an RFE,, returned it. Yesterday it was accepted and today he got a touch on the I130...I think he's next!

jJ

looks like amman is gonna be busy with vj in a few months when we all get out of nvc!

Definitely jJ. How do you want to coordinate that? I use my work computer for IM and I will need his yahoo id to add him. Did you get your case number yet? I can generate the barcode for you.

Call me and I will help you on your end. I can send you what I have...we can fill in the forms together? Or I can fill in and send to Ibrahim and he signs and snail mails to you. I PM-ed my number to ya!

Right now, I figure you have a few days until the file gets to NVC. Here is what you need to do:

1. Get NVC case number.....the IVR when you call it 6033340700, press 1, 1, 1, 4, then enter WAC number. If it is in the NVC system they will give you an AMM number. It will say something like "NVC has entered your case number on blah, you NVC number is blah" In your case it will start with AMM2008xxxxxx. This is important.

2. Once we have your case number I can help you create your bar code.

3. Also I know they update the NVC system on Tuesdays with what they have received or generated. Call Tuesday morning early as possible..so if needed you can get to the post office to over night anything (so as not to lose Tuesday). I have heard they do it also on Saturdays...but I have not seen proof of that.

4. Read this: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_1335.html

5. Ibrahim needs to fill out/sign these forms DS230 and SIGN PART I only, PART II will be signed at the interview in AMM. I suggest you get the information from him and you fill out, email to him and he mails back to you ASAP. The DS3032, should take 2 seconds to fill out and print and sign. Once it gets here you and I will create the barcode and print out and paste it. This form is VERY important to get NVC moving on generating things. Basically what this form is, is that it tells the NVC to send everything to you at your address rather than Ibrahim in Jordan. The USPS (postal service) is much faster and usually more likely to arrive then the Jordan Post Office. Know what I mean.

6. Once you get the IIN from an operator....do a search on VJ on IIN to find out more how to do this, you go online to pay the Affidavit of Support Fee Bill It is $70.00. It takes two - three business days for the payment to post.

7. Once they accept the $70 payment, you need to send in the Affidavit of Support packet. You need to fill out the "I864"...there are several versions of this depending on your situation. First will you use your income only? If so, then you may be able to USE I864EZ. http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3730.html THIS IS YOUR FORM and YOU FILL THIS OUT AND SIGN IT. Ibrahim has nothing to do with this form. Get this going and completed. it took me a while to get everything. Do you have your employment letter yet. Get this done and notarized at your bank...they do it for free...your boss/manager/owner will have to sign in teh presence of the notary and have him/her bring ID with them.

8. Once the DS3032 has been accepted, teh NVC will then send the IV Fee Bill...this is $400.00. This is the fee for the CR1/IR1 visa....so Ibrahim won't pay at AMM.

9. once they accept that payment they will send you the DS230 package of forms...since Ibrahim would have filled it in and sent it to you all you have to do is put everything together and send it in.

OK this is what Ibrahim needs to get additionally:

has he lived anywhere else besides Jordan or the US for longer than 6 months? See this link for more information: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/in...195.html#police In Jordan he goes to his local police station of his town to request this. He should tell them it is for immigrating to the US. They should know what it is. He takes two pictures with him. it costs 1 JD or less to get. http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/reciproc...ocity_3593.html This will be sent to the NVC by you as part of the DS230 packet.

You have your marriage certificate from the US right? I don't know what is needed there? Is it possible to get another copy/certified copy?

If Ibrahim has been married before he will need the divorce decree from the Sharia Court where he got divorced. He might also need the marriage certificate. These are now sent to the NVC by you as part of the DS230 packet...not to AMM like before.

Wow! I got wore out just reading that! Lulu I just don't know what I would do it not for you! You are an angel to hold my hand like this.

I will continue to call til I get the case number for you. I fill out an online Ds3032 and email to him? Then he prints it and signs it, right? And dhl's it back to me?

It is still a little fuzzy, but with your help and patientce...it is becoming clearer. Hold up...the ds230 is a 2 part thing and he signs part 1 and sends them both to me. The ds3032 comes to both of us?

jJ

dont give up on me yet...i'm almost there :)

My absulte pleasure. You are angel in your own right!

The DS 3032 the NVC will send one to him and you will get a copy along with the AOS Fee Bill. But since it is available online, you can have it to them long before you get the copy they send to you. And Ibrahim may never see his copy from the NVC so it's better to print it out from the Department of State website...see link above in earlier post.

I thought of something...he can just sign the forms and DHL to you and you just fill out the information by hand when it arrives here. :-)

DS3023 and DS230....he can just print them off and HE signs them blank. ONLY tell him to sign PART 1 though....(if he makes a mistake and signs Part II then you just will throw away the pages for Part II he signed and replace them with blank pages that you will print again...no harm done). I liked to fill mine out electronically b/c I have terrible handwritting...but it is not required. When when you get them from him you can fill them in by hand...in neat handwritting. :-) It is important that he get these signed and to you.

If he wants to wait until Sunday....he can probably work his magic and get the police certificate for Jordan in a day. He can include that in the DHL to you. Do you have passport pictures of him? Have him send you 4 (2 for sure, 2 extra just in case).

Tax transcripts? Did you get them faxed to you today? I was on hold for 60 minutes with IRS to get mine and I had to call a second time b/c I didn't get the first fax? I would get 2007, 2006 and 2005 transcripts? Do you have W2s? If you have them handy probably a good idea to include in the I864 AOS. I can help you with the 864 but really you should start working on that form.

Don't know if you saw my timeline...i am almost to Case Complete as NVC...and hell I didn't even get the DS3032 at my house yet...which is the first thing NVC sends out once your case number has been assigned. LOL. I will send the AOS packet to NVC tomorrow. If the $400 IV Fee is Paid today or tomorrow then I will send out the DS230 packet Friday or Saturday...ISA case complete by the end of next week and then it will go to AMM!!! That would mean less then two weeks since case number assigned at NVC for me!!!

It's past 10 PM call NVC, 1-603-334-0700. Press 1, and then 5 to speak with operator. Tell him/her I would like to know if there are any updates on my case. Then they will say something. Ask (confidently), "My attorney has requested my Invoice Identification Number. Could you please give that me?"....ISA they will give it to you. Write it down and read it back to them! LOL That number is KEY for paying online.

Have him print 2 copies of each and sign the respective ones inthe respective places.

As a back up do you know about the emailing of the DS3032 form? That takes too long in my opinion but is a a good backup.

Have you read this? http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...ost&id=7648

You can work on the cover letters while you are waiting and the 864. :-)

Some people are at NVC for months on end....we are at a point where the online system is working pretty good so we have to take advantage of that. Waiting for the generation of bills and them to receive them and put in the system could easily take 1+ months....for nothing. So we have to take advantage esp. since AMM is scheduling 2-3 months into the future. :-(

is that 11 AM CDT? That means noon EDT. :-) online as in chat or online as in on VJ? We can also use VJ chat if needed.

Yes JJ I am all over it2.. although I have no idea how to print the dang bar code.

just called again and the NVC still hasn't recieved our file  .

We were planning on sending the DS2302 via email.. now I am worried that might not be such a good idea perhaps i should just send him one tomorrow via email and have him fill it out and send it in on his own??? I don't know what to do about that???

Reda send the signed DS230 in the mail last monday from Spain and I have his birth cert, police record, marriage cert... I also have my empoyer's letter ordered due to arrive this saturday in the mail, three years trans, taxes (but they have my ex's info too on the page) and I figured with my new job i have one pay stub and by the time this is all done maybe three.. i am not sure if that will be enough

I can send them my old employers infor not sure... do they want copies or the originals (pay stubs?)

Lu lu... please i'd appreciate it if you could send me instructions on the bar code thing???? Thanks

Rajaa

RR, if you would like me to create it for you I can...otherwise here goes:

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/...s%27s_Shortcuts

1. Go to this website: http://www.idautomation.com/java/linearservlet.html

2. Follow these instructions: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/...de_instructions

3. Once you are done and click on Create Barcode, upper left part of screen...a pop up window will open.

4. This is your barcode, but notice it says "powered by ID..." underneath it? We need to get rid of that text. So follow these next steps:

5. Right Click on the Barcode. and Select SAVE PICTURE AS. Note where you are saving it to...I suggest your desktop.

6. Open Microsoft Word.

7. Select Insert -> Picture -> From File and select the name of the file that you saved in step 5.

8. The barcode should now be in word.

9. Print it out.

10. Cut it out with scissors (make sure it is cut straight and the word "Powered by ID..." are not part of the part you will paste onto the DS3032 form)....Further I am very ####### so I measured the dotted box on the DS3032 form and made sure when I cut out the barcode it was the exact same size as that dotted line box. After it was all said and done, my barcode was in the center of the box when I pasted it...yes with glue.

11. If you want me to check your work, you can scan the form and email to me and I will print it and ensure your barcode can be read. If you have access to a barcode reader at work, neighborhood store, pretty much where ever you see something that scan barcodes you can ask if they would be willing to scan your barcode. Once scanned it should be exactly what your case number is including the letters of course.
