Hi guys,

I got most of what I need for the DS-230 pulled together yesterday so its ready for when I need it. I photocopied the biographic info page of my passport and noticed its still in my maiden name! Going on two years of marriage and I completely forgot to apply for a new one! Its not expired or anything, but I'll be submitting the application for a new one by the end of the week. If its not in by the time I get to the point of submitting the DS-230, do I have to wait for it, or can I submit the copy of the one I have? Perhaps with a letter explaining that my request for an updated one is being processed. Does anyone have any idea? Either way I'll definitely have the new one for the interview.

Thanks :)

It won't be a problem at all (as long as your name is the same as the ds3032 form).... but remember to apply for a new one before you move... We submitted my passport with my maiden name, called NVC and ask them if that would be a problem, and they say that the passport should have the name of the beneficiary as it appears in the ds3032 form....
