Thanks Rosie. Have a nice weekend.

This weekend I am going to do a detailed study of all forms.

See below:

You guys are awesome.

Rosie do you mean I should file all these forms together I-130, I-485, G325a, I-131, I-693, I-864 and I-765.

Let me summarize this. As per the instructions document, first three (I-130, I-485, I-765 & I-131) can be filed together.

(1) I-130 ($355) & I-485 ($930) + biometrics ($80) (Are we filing any form for biometrics or just pay the fees) Form G-325a will be used for biometrics

(2) I-765 EAD ($340 but as I would be filing I-485, there is no fees for this. Can be filed with I-485) Correct

(3) I-131 AP ($305 but as I would be filing I-485, there is no fees for this. Can be filed with I-485) Correct

(4) G-325a Biographic Information ($0) - uscis.gov says "You file this form only as instructed on another Immigration application or petition". With which form we submit this? I-485 is your immigration application in your case

(5) I-693 Medical ($0) (Report from doctor) Correct

(6) I-864 Financial support affidavit ($0) (To be filed by fiance) Yes, but it goes with your I-485 package

There are several tests which are specified in instructions documents. My personal physician would provide some of the immunization copy to the civil surgeon. Rest of tests I think has to be done by civil surgeon. I already scheduled an appointment for medical.

So is that the whole fees (355+930+80) we pay excluding the medical? That is correct. $ 355 for I-130 and $ 1010 for AOS.

I quickly went through all the forms but I may come up with more doubts when I look them closel

Finally I assembled everything after spending few hours.

Summary of forms to be submitted

I-130(Petition) + G-325a(of applicant) + G-325a(of Petitioner)

All would go to I-130 mailing address

I-485(AOS) + G-325a(of applicant) + I-693(Medical Report) + 131(AP) + I-765(EAD) + I-864(Support Affidavit)

All would go to I-485 mailing address (for me Nebraska as i am in California)

I am done with filing all forms except I-864 which my fiance would complete soon. I have few questions/confirmations as mentioned below (each form is linked to corresponding form of uscis site) :

I-485(this & all beneath forms are linked to uscis site)

Part1: Address C/O - Should I specify this?

I am applying for an adjustment to permanent resident status because: For L1, is it (a)?

B. List your present husband/wife, all of your sons and daughters?

My wife has 1 kid from previous marriage, should i mention the kid details in this?

I-130

17. List husband/wife and all children of your relative?

My wife has a kid. But (17) means list kids of relative(i.e. me). Should she mention about her kid here?

G-325a

Applicant's last address outside the United States of more than one year?

1) Does it mean the 1 year period after or before arriving to US. After arriving to US, my fiance didnt come to her home town for many years. Once she went but for very short span of time not an year.

2) For me, I was in India since birth. After arriving here, I too went for short span not an year. Should I state the address before arriving here?

I-131

Class of Admission - L1 (is it correct?)

I have planning end of next year to visit india unless anything urgent before that. It asks for "Date of Intended Departure". Should I file this form before few months of visit or now? How much time does it takes for approval?

I-765

16. Eligibility Criteria - ©(9) is it correct?

No, send both packets to the same address (separate packets, same big pouch):

For USPS:

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

P.O. Box 805887

Chicago, IL 60680-4107

For couriers/express deliveries (such as UPS/FedEx):

USCIS

Attn. FBAS

131 South Dearborn - 3rd Floor

Chicago, IL 60603-5517

I-485(this & all beneath forms are linked to uscis site)

Part1: Address C/O - Should I specify this? Not if you have your name on the mailbox

I am applying for an adjustment to permanent resident status because: For L1, is it (a)? Yes, it's A.

B. List your present husband/wife, all of your sons and daughters?

My wife has 1 kid from previous marriage, should i mention the kid details in this? No, this part is for you only. If you do not have any kids, just put your wife's name and info here.

I-130

17. List husband/wife and all children of your relative?

My wife has a kid. But (17) means list kids of relative(i.e. me). Should she mention about her kid here? No, you are her relative here, and if you don't have any kids, she should just put your name on this line.

How much time does it takes for approval? File now, put a random date and check the box "more than one trip" on part 7. You probably will never use the AP since you can travel on L1 status, but it's free so why not?
